Hunan Star Chinese Restaurant is a highly-recommended eatery that offers great food and friendly service. The atmosphere is calm, quiet, and relaxing, with cozy decor and a fish tank. The restaurant has plenty of parking spaces and provides a quick and accurate ordering process, ensuring that customers receive their orders correctly. The food is always hot and delicious, with popular menu items including the Singaporean mei fun, wontons, egg fried rice, and general tso chicken. The portions are big, and the taste is incredible. Customers often enjoy freshly made dishes, though some have experienced less friendly customer service, with staff sometimes appearing rude or bothered. For example, some reviews mention that the general tso chicken tastes like orange chicken and can be chewy, and that hot mustard and condiments may come with additional charges, which is different from other places. Others have appreciated flavorful fried rice, shrimp egg rolls, and fortune cookies, though portion sizes could be a bit bigger. Whether ordering takeout or dining in, Hunan Star Chinese Restaurant is a good place to enjoy American Chinese comfort food.
