It was different - not as bold - from my usual prefer spot in Fair Oak Mall, which closed after Covid. We also tried the beef stripe and had mixed feelings. It wasn't all stripes but mixed with marinated beef, and the dish was good. It just that we preferred all stripes. Our waitress was very helpful and sincere. Good experience. My favorite is their fried rice with bean sprouts and the szechuan chicken . I usually place my order for pickup and the food always comes out hot and fresh!“

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. “I came in and wanted to make sure that my to go order wouldn’t spill out in my back pack as I was riding an Ebike. I enjoyed so much interacting with the employees. There was a little bit of language misunderstanding but I was able to communicate and it turned out perfectly when I got home.

The outstanding customer service I received at Golden Restaurant truly deserves to be highlighted. On an especially hot day, I walked in and was immediately offered a cold bottled water—completely free of charge. It was such a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the rest of my visit.

When I called ahead to place an order for shrimp fried rice with customization (no msg, light on the soy sauce, very little oil), they listened intently and even repeated my requests so I can verify. Lo and behold, they delivered exactly what I asked for—the dish was cooked perfectly to my liking!

It’s rare these days, especially at a mostly pick-up-style restaurant, to find staff who are not only helpful but genuinely considerate and accommodating. The quality of service here goes far beyond expectations. I’ll definitely be returning—and recommending them to friends and family. Service like this deserves to be recognized!“

“My family’s been coming to Empire for the last 20 years, even after we moved 30 min away, this is still our primary Chinese takeout spot. My biggest mistake was not leaving this review sooner. Food is always great, incredibly quick. Sure, prices have gone up but food cost doesn’t just affect consumers, it affects businesses too, so while not ideal, I get it. Yesterday, my buddy and I ordered some food for carry out on our way out of his storage unit. Come to find out, if you don’t leave by 9pm, they lock you in, literally. I called Empire back to tell them of the situation, and without hesitation, they offered to bring our food to us at the storage unit despite being 5 minutes to closing by the time we figured out that the police officer’s code wasn’t going to work (we thought we were gonna have to stay the night). Not only that, when he realized our situation, he went back out to a gas station to get us utensils to eat our food there *and* got us 2 drinks. We ended up getting out very shortly after, but it really stuck in my head that this is one of the nicest things a complete stranger has done for me. I didn’t need any other reason to keep coming to Empire, but this validates my love for this place and the people that run it. The best part is the food was still warm when we made it back home. Can’t thank the Empire team enough. 👍“

“This is a chain that has locations all over New York. I'm glad there is a location close to me. It's my go to for sauerkraut fish soup.

They also have a secret menu for Fuzhou cuisine like peanut noodles, Fuzhou wontons and meatball soup that are pretty close to what I remember from Fuzhou.“
