“The food great, better then others, it was hot fresh and delicious, I had the chicken with mix vegetables. And it came with a egg roll. Long time since I has a delicious egg roll. Place was clean. The only thing was the mechine that you can order your food on. Coming to get Chinese food to places like this it feels great when someone takes your order. Overall 👍 great.“

“Came here randomly and was really more than pleasantly surprised by the variety and depth of flavors. The butter chicken, palak paneer, and chettinad mushroom we’re all super delicious and unique in their own ways that made them stand out to me compared to other Indian Restaurant in the Henrdon area. The Parotta (paratha) was homemade and absolutely delicious and flaky. Definitely worth checking out!

They also have a buffet on the weekends from 11:30 to 2:30-You have to make reservations in advance on the hour and they fill up fast.“

“The food was pretty good. Not too salty but flavorful. But I ordered the Szechuan chicken because of the pic that's attached to them in photos on Google and it looked nothing like that. I'm pretty sure the lo mein I ordered was in a lunchtime-sized container and wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be after asking for it to be spicy. I'd say it's a solid choice if you're nearby or looking for authentic Chinese food in Vienna. While it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, every dish we ordered was good and the overall meal was enjoyable.

That said, with so many great Chinese restaurants closer to where I live, I probably wouldn't drive all the way to Vienna to have Chef Tan unless I happened to be in the area and is craving Chinese food.“

“First time trying out the restaurant based on recommendation of a friend for Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup. Have to admit, it was very nice balanced taste. It was different - not as bold - from my usual prefer spot in Fair Oak Mall, which closed after Covid. We also tried the beef stripe and had mixed feelings. It wasn't all stripes but mixed with marinated beef, and the dish was good. It just that we preferred all stripes. Our waitress was very helpful and sincere. Good experience. Will come back to try other dishes.“

“I love getting food from here. Even when I am not shopping in Ranch 99 I would go there to get food and grab some groceries while waiting.

The owner is nice and the whole operation is very clean. I’d say it’s cleaner than 95% of the restaurants out there. The owner is one of those “OCD” types lol. When you tell him how much you want for the dry pot (by weight) he would get to that weight to the exact decimal point. I sometimes would tell him it’s ok to miss a bit I am just giving you an estimate. Also he is happy to cater your preference. I love lots of veggies in mine so I’d ask him to put more veggies than meat. He’d gladly to do anything like that.

It’s spicy but I never felt it’s too greasy and the flavor is great! It’s not just done with a sauce pack. You can see fresh garlic pieces in there too.

Definitely a hidden gem. Better than a typical vendor in a Chinese grocery store. I wish all Chinese restaurants can be run with this caliber.“

“One of the best Chinese food I have ever had. Tried the dry fried cauliflower, ganghood chicken, Lazi chicken, and spring rolls and all of them were absolutely decadent! Service was also super welcoming. Food so good, the whole order was beasted, took take out, and even ordered the same food next day because I couldn’t get over the flavorful taste lol. The pricing is also too friendly for food quality of this kind. Highly recommend this place, loved it!!“

“Came here for dim sum and it was pretty good. No carts being pushed around though. The dishes were slightly on the bland side and it was a little annoying that we had to keep asking for more chili oil. It should just be on the table for us to scoop out! The bone broth is bracing, complex, and flavorful, far richer and deeper than pho or tonkotsu. Recommend getting it spicy: it brings all the flavors together without being overwhelming. Additionally, the Sichuan menu is one of the best in the area, second only to Mama Chang's and Hong Kong Palace. This place is pretty new and trying to get its feet underneath it. “Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. “My neice wanted to go to her favorite place for her 18th bday, so my sister called the Chin Chin Cafe and they said no problem. They had reserved tables when I arrived so I could decorate. Raymond was the MOD and was very helpful. We also had great customer service from the 3 employees working that night, it could not have gone any smoother! The timing of the food coming out was perfect!! Everything from the appetizers to the sushi to the main course dishes were delicious and plentiful. All our guests, especially the bday girl, were very happy. if you have not tried them yet, do yourself a favor and do so. Found China Goirmet on a whim search and it exceeded our expectations!! The potstickers were tender, flavorful and mouth watering! The moo shi pork and the crispy crunchy beef were over the top wonderful! The prices were very reasonable and they even had bar service with extremely reasonable prices. They also have a secret menu for Fuzhou cuisine like peanut noodles, Fuzhou wontons and meatball soup that are pretty close to what I remember from Fuzhou.“

“We’re always looking for good Chinese food in the area, and happy to have stumbled upon this one. My husband and I ordered crispy beef, duck wraps, house lo mein and general tso’s chicken. The owner said we ordered too much lol

Crispy beef was very unique. Tasted good, it was fried in thick strips as opposed to the thin strips you usually see, and stayed crunchy throughout.

General Tso’s chicken was good too; large juicy chunks of meat with a good sauce.

Lo mein was great - our 3 year old ate half of the dish himself. The house lo mein was good because it had beef, chicken and shrimp all mixed together.

The only miss for us were the duck wraps. While the pancakes and hoisin sauce tasted good, the duck was way too gamey for our taste and we didn’t love the vegetables that came with it. The owner noticed we didn’t eat it and she recommended that next time we try the Cantonese style roast duck; less gamey and taste better.

We also got a pina colada smoothie which was fabulous!!

True to their restaurant name, they played opera music in the background and had an ongoing video of classical dances on the wall.

The owner was so attentive to our son, gave him crayons to draw with, and kept our water/ tea filled at all times.

Unfortunately we were the only people in the restaurant for dinner that night, I hope more people come try their food! We’ll definitely be back to try more things!“
