I love that they make their mapo tofu vegetarian which was very good. Same for the Dan Dan noodles but this was probably the only dish i didn’t love.

“Lots of options and everything was delicious! The seating felt a little compact, but the food was amazing! There are a lot of contrasting flavors in all the dishes. Very authentic flavors and quite spicy. The chicken all came out flavorful, and the beef was very soft. The dumplings were also very delicious and juicy!

“Keeping in mind that I'm no expert in Chinese food AND so, I can only compare apples to apples, it's a decent restaurant. I have to say that it is definitely a lot more tasty than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. The veggies are not frozen or canned, there was real freshness to them. I'd say it's a solid choice if you're nearby or looking for authentic Chinese food in Vienna. While it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, every dish we ordered was good and the overall meal was enjoyable.

“I judge most Peking Duck restaurants by their Peking Duck, and this was as good as you’ll find in the US! The skin was beautifully crispy, and the duck was delicious. The Scallion Bubble Bread was another standout, as were the pea shoots and eggplant dishes.

Unfortunately, the Wagyu Lo Mein and Seafood & Tofu Claypot were misses. The brown sauce-based dishes generally fell flat, lacking the depth and complexity of flavor I expected.

The atmosphere was wonderful, and the parking free. Overall, a lovely dining experience with some exceptional dishes and a few misses. I’d absolutely return for the Peking Duck!“

“I love getting food from here. Even when I am not shopping in Ranch 99 I would go there to get food and grab some groceries while waiting.

The owner is nice and the whole operation is very clean. I’d say it’s cleaner than 95% of the restaurants out there. The owner is one of those “OCD” types lol. When you tell him how much you want for the dry pot (by weight) he would get to that weight to the exact decimal point. I sometimes would tell him it’s ok to miss a bit I am just giving you an estimate. Also he is happy to cater your preference. I love lots of veggies in mine so I’d ask him to put more veggies than meat. He’d gladly to do anything like that.

It’s spicy but I never felt it’s too greasy and the flavor is great! It’s not just done with a sauce pack. You can see fresh garlic pieces in there too.

Definitely a hidden gem. Better than a typical vendor in a Chinese grocery store. I wish all Chinese restaurants can be run with this caliber.“

“The utensils are perhaps the cheapest that you can find in are solar systems. Very disappointing from the chef. You can’t use it properly for heavy noodles and no knives to cut the noodles so no food particles over your dress when you go back to office.!!!???“

“I went to Jinlan for dinner while in the area for an event and it was so good I went back the next day. The restaurant is just big enough to fit the several tables, which is always a sign of good food. First I tried the dumplings and scallion pancakes, which were both phenomenal. Next day I tried dry noodles with chicken and long pepper, which was excellently spicy. If you're in the area you should consider this place and keep the owner Happy Busy!“
