“The people who work here are extremely kind, very passionate about their food, and definitely know their flavor. I went here two days in a row after not having been for a while, and let me say, it was the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in the DMV area in my entire 16 years living. I definitely, 1000% recommend coming to this place and trying what they have. I got the spicy fish hot pot, and my mom got the chongqing chicken with chili, and it was so good. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re ever in the area“

“MEG IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! She was phenomenal. It was a bit busy, and we watched her manage several tables with such finesse that no one was left behind/stuck waiting. We will definitely visit again, and that's partly due to the food being great and partly due to how awesome she was.“

“As we're lucky to have so many authentic and diverse restaurants in Northern Virginia, we decided to give Chef Tan a try.

I'd say it's a solid choice if you're nearby or looking for authentic Chinese food in Vienna. While it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, every dish we ordered was good and the overall meal was enjoyable.

That said, with so many great Chinese restaurants closer to where I live, I probably wouldn't drive all the way to Vienna to have Chef Tan unless I happened to be in the area and is craving Chinese food.“

“First time trying out the restaurant based on recommendation of a friend for Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup. Have to admit, it was very nice balanced taste. It was different - not as bold - from my usual prefer spot in Fair Oak Mall, which closed after Covid. We also tried the beef stripe and had mixed feelings. It wasn't all stripes but mixed with marinated beef, and the dish was good. It just that we preferred all stripes. Our waitress was very helpful and sincere. Good experience. Will come back to try other dishes.“

“I love getting food from here. Even when I am not shopping in Ranch 99 I would go there to get food and grab some groceries while waiting.

The owner is nice and the whole operation is very clean. I’d say it’s cleaner than 95% of the restaurants out there. The owner is one of those “OCD” types lol. When you tell him how much you want for the dry pot (by weight) he would get to that weight to the exact decimal point. I sometimes would tell him it’s ok to miss a bit I am just giving you an estimate. Also he is happy to cater your preference. I love lots of veggies in mine so I’d ask him to put more veggies than meat. He’d gladly to do anything like that.

It’s spicy but I never felt it’s too greasy and the flavor is great! It’s not just done with a sauce pack. You can see fresh garlic pieces in there too.

Definitely a hidden gem. Better than a typical vendor in a Chinese grocery store. I wish all Chinese restaurants can be run with this caliber.“

“A place that we keep ordering from again and again. We accidentally ordered something not on the menu but they made it for us anyways, great service, great food, great price. When we have company from out of town and don’t want to cook we order from here. When we’re back from a long road trip I look forward to a meal from here.“

“One of the best Chinese food I have ever had. Tried the dry fried cauliflower, ganghood chicken, Lazi chicken, and spring rolls and all of them were absolutely decadent! Service was also super welcoming. Food so good, the whole order was beasted, took take out, and even ordered the same food next day because I couldn’t get over the flavorful taste lol. “Came here for dim sum and it was pretty good. No carts being pushed around though. The dishes were slightly on the bland side and it was a little annoying that we had to keep asking for more chili oil. It should just be on the table for us to scoop out! “This place is incredible. I am not aware of any other luosifen noodle house in the area. If you, like me, are a newcomer to this style of noodle soup, you are going to be extremely impressed. The bone broth is bracing, complex, and flavorful, far richer and deeper than pho or tonkotsu. Recommend getting it spicy: it brings all the flavors together without being overwhelming. Additionally, the Sichuan menu is one of the best in the area, second only to Mama Chang's and Hong Kong Palace. This place is pretty new and trying to get its feet underneath it. “Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. “Had another great meal at Yens. Crispy Szechuan Beef, Chicken Lomein, great little dessert bun! Not pictured the great pork potstickers! Nice ginger flavor on those! Service on point, food hot tasty & clean tasting flavors. A gem in our community. Owners are very nice, I witnessed her once bring a fry pan out for customer to try sauce & she thought was too spicy so owner asked what she liked & invented her a new dish, and put it in computer so she could order it again. That sealed it as a winner for me.“

“The dishes are even cleaner tasting and less salty than before, and we love the new chicken wonton soup. The chefs have creatively used spices and ground halal meat to recreate pork dishes. Great for those who eat halal but also for those who don't want to feel bloated after a Chinese meal. We loved the chicken broccoli and moo shoo and will be ordering again for this healthier take on American Chinese food.“

“My neice wanted to go to her favorite place for her 18th bday, so my sister called the Chin Chin Cafe and they said no problem. They had reserved tables when I arrived so I could decorate. Raymond was the MOD and was very helpful. We also had great customer service from the 3 employees working that night, it could not have gone any smoother! The timing of the food coming out was perfect!! Everything from the appetizers to the sushi to the main course dishes were delicious and plentiful. All our guests, especially the bday girl, were very happy. if you have not tried them yet, do yourself a favor and do so. “After living in Countryside for over 40 years we never found this gem. Long time patrons of Cheng’s & Good Fortune restaurants we have tried many other local Chinese restaurants with no real luck. Found China Goirmet on a whim search and it exceeded our expectations!! The potstickers were tender, flavorful and mouth watering! The moo shi pork and the crispy crunchy beef were over the top wonderful! The prices were very reasonable and they even had bar service with extremely reasonable prices. Service was extremely attentive without being over bearing. We can’t wait to come back and try something different!! Well done!!!“

To be honest when I parked in the front I was skeptical but follow my willingness to discover new places but when I got in and received by a very kind staff and felt the yummy smell from the kitchen I thought it was going to be good! I ordered fried rice, noodle soup, general tso chicken and some house lo mein, it was extremely delicious! Food quality is top and service was simply amazing! “We love chopsticks house, it’s one of the best Chinese places in the area.

A little concerned though because I ordered on April 18 2025 for my family, and my dad got a piece of a metal cleaning brush in his food. Thank goodness he noticed and didn’t swallow it.“
