“Surprisingly surprised about the food. Whenever we encounter fusion restaurants, it’s always subpar. We order the spicy jjampong and omurice. Big portions and delicious! Banchans were also pretty yummy.

I thought we can only find good Korean in annadale- happy it’s close to us! Owners are also friendly. Looking forward to trying other food.“

“Crispy shredded beef and Kung Pao chicken were tasty. General Tso's shrimp had so much breading on it that I had a hard time finding the shrimp. I would not recommend this dish unless you mostly want fried bread. I asked for medium spicy and the dishes were mild. The portions were very generous as we have left overs. The delivery from the time I ordered took a total of 55 minutes. I like supporting local business and will try other dishes from them.“

“I wanted to try at least 3 times before I gave a rating. Customer service is consistent all the time, no matter what time of day. The combination fried rice tastes delicious. I get the chicken wings also, fried to perfection. I always ask for extra spicy and they usually deliver. My new favorite Chinese restaurant. I haven’t been able to find a good Chinese restaurant since moving from MD to VA, but this place is phenomenal. It’s clean and I love the interior. I do still need to try other options, but this is based off my regular.“

The outstanding customer service I received at Golden Restaurant truly deserves to be highlighted. On an especially hot day, I walked in and was immediately offered a cold bottled water—completely free of charge. It was such a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the rest of my visit.

When I called ahead to place an order for shrimp fried rice with customization (no msg, light on the soy sauce, very little oil), they listened intently and even repeated my requests so I can verify. Lo and behold, they delivered exactly what I asked for—the dish was cooked perfectly to my liking!

“This has become my go to place for Chinese delivery. Today, not feeling well, I wanted some soup and some spice. I ordered egg drop soup, lunch specials kung pao shrimp and orange chicken, and some wings. I LOVE their wings (as someone who doesn't eat fried wings often). I want to know if the sauce with them is made or bought and want to learn how to make it. So good I almost always add them to my order now. And whether a veggie or a meat egg roll, these are good and not too greasy. I've not had a bad item that I have ordered yet. I don't like onions and requested spicy today, and I received a call from the restaurant to confirm exactly what I wanted. They always follow my online directions well if I request less oil, white rice instead of fried, etc. First time with the soup today and that was good. Savored my veggie egg roll. First time also ordering the kung pao, and I don't usually love the typical veggies served with kung pao, but I was pleasantly surprised that chopped broccoli was the base vegetable, which I LOVE. “I’ve been a loyal fan of South China Restaurant on Mount Vernon Avenue for years, but I wanted to try something new tonight, so I ordered from Ho’s Chinese Carryout in Centre Plaza for the first time. The General Tso’s chicken was really good and a totally different style from what I usually get. The sauce was nice and light with a golden brown color, a hint of garlic, and a good kick of spice that didn't overwhelm. The chicken chunks were moist with a nice crunch on the outside. I liked the broccoli pieces in it, but I could’ve used a little more!

I placed a mobile order and the food was packed up and waiting for me when I walked in 10-15 minutes later. Fast service and a great first experience. I’ll definitely be back to try something else next time.“

“I had family over for dinner and decided to order three party platters, spring rolls, crab rangoon, and soup. Each platter is said to be 6 servings but it certainly seemed like it was more because we had a ton of leftovers. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, szechuan beef, and kung pao shrimp as our entrees and everything was a absolutely delicious. The food was ready right on time, the chicken was still crispy when we got it home, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the food. I would order for a party again without hesitation, and, of course will be back for smaller meals whenever the craving hits. Thank you for helping make our party a success!“

We really enjoy Hunan Cafe in Burke. Their crispy beef is a favorite of mine, and we always order the crab rangoons and Singapore rice noodles—everything is consistently delicious. My husband especially loves their Kung Pao Chicken.

Jenny at the front is always friendly and kind, which makes the experience even better. The indoor dining area is clean, with comfortable chairs, and I really appreciate that they bring your food out on actual plates instead of styrofoam. That extra touch makes dining in feel so much nicer.

I was living off beauregard st. behind the old shoppers in 1995 and working at my first job at arby's when I discovered Szechuan Delight. There were always very affordable and quick.. Items used to be around 5.95 or $6.95.. They have excellent lomein, hunan and szechuan dishes. However what is very unique to that restaurant is their Chicken & Hot Garlic dish. In course of time, after college, I moved to maryland, then florida, followed by long stay in europe. I have never found anything close that their chicken & hot garlic sauce dish.. Every chance I get to visit virginia, perhaps every few years, I try to stop at szechuan delight for that dish and even after 30 years, it still tastes exactly the same. I've looked up thousands of instructions and could never replicate it.. I hope my next visit, the chef might allow me to learn how to make that dish, so I can enjoy it while living in europe.“
