We were in Martinsville for shopping, and decided to get food. First off, they open at 4pm on Saturdays, but at 3:50pm the parking lot was already packed, that's a good sign. We decided against another spot and drove back to Captain Tom's. The staff was friendly, our waitress knew the menu backwards and forwards, anticipated our questions, and had answers and menu tweaks ready to make ordering quick. I had 2 gift certificates to use this evening that were NOT honored because of the employee who had signed them. So I had $70 already paid to the restaurant and had to pay the $40 bill tonight because of their own employee error. The food was sh!t, overcooked, too much spice (when I asked for light seasoning), salad was watered down with the lettuce preservative and did not get our drinks until after I had asked twice and already had the salads on the table.
