Honestly, I can kind of agree with a lot of the reviews on here. First time here and very upset with the service. It was just me and my wife.
We got there at about 8:55pm
Walked into the bar, there were 4 employees working on getting some silverware in napkins. Stood there for at least 5 minutes until I asked the bartender if we could just sit. After sitting, we had time to look at their whole menu(on my phone), look at campfire grills menu, and still waiting another 10 minutes, before someone came to check on us.(I didn't get a name but she was super nice) She said she just had to close someone out and she'd be right back. Before she came back, someone else came to wait on us. This second waitress was not all there. She was slurring her words, being very slow, and acting confused.
She got our drinks after about 15 minutes. My beer was bassicaly flat. Luckily my wife's drink was good.
After about another 10 minutes we asked another waitress(since the one who took our drinks never came to check on us) if we could get a side of fries. This was surprisingly fast. Took about 5 minutes to get to our table.
At about 9:45pm we wanted to order some burgers. After I placed the order, we were informed that there was no beyond burgers left. We went ahead and didn't get anything to eat other than the fries we got originally.
Like another review said, we almost walked out without paying. I had to ask another server for the check. I went to the bathroom and came back and they still didn't take my check with card. They took my card, lost it on the 5 feet they traveled to get to the POS system, and then came back and asked if I gave them a card.
Over all, for a resort this big, this is very upsetting service. Food would've probably been really good, if we got some. Drinks were nice, other than time to get to us and by beer being flat because of it. Service was overall terrible. One good waitress and it wasn't our main one. Live music was a vibe and amazing.
Vegetarian options: Only thing you can get is beyond burger to swap for their 3 burgers.

Most disgusting restaurant/bar I've ever been. First night, all we did was fight bees away from our drinks. The 2nd night we visited both our party's ordered wine flights. Both glasses came out with mold on the glasses. We alerted the server, and they apologized. After we got new flights, our food came out, and there was mold on the lemon's for calamari. Total red flag witch told me being a GM OF A RESTAURANT in the past these peopledont clean!!!! Absolutely disgusting, and all the did was give us an 8 dollar bottle of wine as a sorry what a horrible experience. Their food is 4 out of 10. Massanutten should be embarrassed to allow this. We also waited 30 mins to even get drinks ordered even after approaching servers. I would hope this could change years ago. Basecamp was the spot years ago and now it's a trash can

Am 67 and have eaten at many places. Have never experienced such bad service. Would describe the operation as chaotic and dysfunction. Were ignored after being seated for 30 minutes. Had to seek assistance. Were served pizza without plates, silverware and napkins. No water refills offered. No one checked back after receiving food. Could have left without paying as some did out of frustration. Waitresses appeared to be untrained in hospitality. One was in tears. We’re too stressed to be hospitable. No one seemed in charge. Will not return to Basecamp regardless of the food quality

What an enjoyable place to have lunch or dinner. The staff was enjoyable to hang with The service was good and the food really good. The employee Tony was always smiling and easy to talk to and hang out with.

Great food, nice service, but they need to change their taco description. It does NOT say peppers, and they have jalapeños on it. It’s a good thing I’m not allergic!! I don’t like these peppers and could’ve simply ordered without if I had known. It ruined my whole meal, while already sick on vacation, so this just finished ruining my day ??
Also, absolutely no plasticware to eat my rice with, or even any napkins.

UPDATE 8/20 and 8/21: Lunchtime is the time to go! The servers are attentive, kind and hospitable. We both got Lava Flows and the Avocado and Bacon Turkey on ciabatta. AMAZING!
We just left there. Someone 5 days ago commented that their service was super slow & the manager responded this, “wasn’t typical” - but it absolutely is.
Tonight was the second night we came & it was SLOWER. I literally timed it. We were sitting for 21 minutes before the waitress came to say hello. Then we waited 16 minutes for our drinks to come. And an additional 11 for the appetizers. And our section was BARE.
Saturday, we had Analeah. - She was kind & sweet - A bit forgetful but she admitted to it& ALWAYS returned in a timely manner with our drinks/food - Always checked in & brought napkins/silverware
Sunday, an absolute disaster. The waitress didn’t even give us her name. - She genuinely seemed to hate being there - There was no urgency in ANYTHING - We never got silverware & had to ask for napkins TWICE (and then waited 6 minutes for them) - She was scatterbrained, lost the credit card of the people on the other side and didn’t even say anything until THEY asked what was happening
