Food was excellent. Really nice drink selection as well. Their hush puppies are my favorite. Got the filet and crab cake, definitely would recommend. My friend got a really big steak that he said was very good.
Celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary at White Dog. Staying in Deltaville and googled “good spot for a special occasion” and White Dog came up. Have been to Mathews 4 times now and never saw it open (during the day) so I always assumed it was closed or abandoned. Wow. It most certainly is not closed. It was booked and buzzing with activity in a summer Saturday night. Arrived and table was ready-cozy 2 top in the corner. We ordered the lobster hush puppies-yum...
Celebrated our anniversary dinner at The White Dog Bistro. From beginning to end it was an excellent meal. We shared a Caesar Salad with a tasty dressing. I had the Hawkeye Steak while the wife had a surf and turf of a Filet and a Crabcake, all perfectly cooked. We finished with the scrumptious Pecan Pie. Service was excellent. Your hosts, Chef Walt in the kitchen, and Amanda in the front of the house are exceptional. We highly recommend The White Dog Bistro!
