Today my husband and I had the opportunity to dine at Fleming. The staff was AMAZING! Matt, the manager was on top of every request, need, and want. As soon as anyone in the restaurant needed anything, we witnessed him assisting the service staff to make sure that it was done immediately. He is the type of manager that people dream of! Wish he were on my team. Luis was our server and was great! He was on top of our every need, was attentive, and easily on of the best servers I've ever had. To round out the team, Juan was behind Luis with any additional support that we needed. Quiet professional with great service; Quick, fast, and in a hurry. The ambiance of the restaurant is hard to find in DC. It was quiet enough for a one on one conversation, but energetic enough to make sure that we were not bored. The food was top notch! My stomach hurts because I should have tapped out 15 minutes ago but the food was too good to stop. I'd recommend the Leviathan wine and tomahawk steak. We are big eaters and could not finish our salads and soup, steak, or desserts! My husband highly recommends the French onion soup, Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. Overall the service, ambiance, food, and staff were wayyyyyy more than we expected. We look forward to patronizing this location again. I wish I had pics, but we ate too fast.

We come to this restaurant every year for our anniversary. The food is always very good. The service has always been outstanding but tonight, the service was so so. The server did not place my dishes in front of me, he set them down on the side of the table where no one was sitting as I guess that's where he walked up to. I had to move it in front of myself. He forgot my desert order though he brought my husbands. It was just very disappointing for such a good restaurant.

The service by Austin was exceptional. Salad, bread, and baked potato were very good. $20 Manhattan was skimpy and even with 2nd try as perfect Manhattan was poor quality. I am a 45 year Manhattan drinker and have had my share of excellent and bad Manhattans. This was very poor. Filets were a huge disappointment. 1 was ordered well done and upgraded to a larger piece as suggested to butterfly to prevent the shoe leather effect of a lovely piece of meat. It was dead on arrival. 2nd steak was medium well and came out screaming. Waiter agreed. It was returned charred and shrunken, but still brilliant red inside. Doggie bags for the meat. Overall, wonderful service, but in each case of the return of the Manhattan and one steak that were not acceptable. I know I take my chances ordering either well done or medium well. There are establishments that do an excellent job cooking steak at these levels so that is like butter in your mouth. I believe they do flash cooking. I would return for the salad and potato, but not the unacceptable Manhattan or filet.

Food was very good. The wine prices seemed high and very little (if any) was available under $75. Additionally, a large percentage of their wine list was unavailable due to an upcoming update.

Fleming's always impresses us. We celebrate many major milestones here. The food is always amazing, the staff is fantastic, the price is reasonable, it's a no-brainer. I can't recommend Fleming's enough!

The food was great, the service was great, but the clientele suck, and this was not a one-time occurence. You have to give kudos to the staff for smiling and putting up with the rudeness. This is not a place for a romantic meal anymore. The majority of the patrons of this place are basically selfish and unconcerned about the affect of their behavior; they think they are in some two-bit bar. Or it's how they were brought up in their socio-economic environment. They are extremely loud, with multiple outbursts as if they were at a comedy club, and could care less about the people eating at the next table. This was not just my table, it was true for the whole restaurant. I recommend ear plugs if you want to avoid a headache. I will probably give it one more try, then look for another location. I eat out a lot and am used to noisy restaurants, but this was beyond the pale. Unfortunately, you cannot kick out patrons or you won't have a restaurant, but at this rate, they may not anyway.

We greatly enjoyed our experience at Fleming's. This was our first time there and I relied heavily on the reviews in making the decision to give it a try. I'm glad that I did. The food was delicious and lived up to the expectations that the previous reviewers had set. We had the chicken entree and the caesar salad. Both exceeded expectations. Surprisingly though, it was the desserts that really outperformed. I had the strawberry butter cake and my wife had the carrot cake. I am trying to watch my calories these days and I try to get the desserts I want without eating all of them. This time it was very, very hard not to do so. That cake was among the best I've had. Wow. Finally, the service from Austin was excellent and all of the servers seemed responsive, professional and highly experienced. I would recommend Fleming's and I'm looking forward to going back again (not until I run a few laps though to get ready for more butter cake)! Well done.

Awful service. I came here for my birthday with my bf, he made reservations and told them it was my bday. The table was set up cute when we got there but we literally sat there for 30 minutes and no one came to serve us. We just left. Servers kept walking right past us and serving everyone around us except us. We are 22 and 21 and idk if it is because we are young or what but I work in a restaurant and we would never leave a table waiting for 30 mins without a server even introducing themselves. Expected top notch service and was super disappointed! Don’t mean to be a Karen but that’s actually crazy. We were understanding for the first 30 mins but when no server showed up at the 35 min mark we were done.

We made reservations for 8 pm and waited until 8:40 PM for anyone to serve us at our table. No one did. So we got up and left.

I guess since we look younger they may have discriminated. Because someone who came in 5 minutes before we left got instant service.

There were more employees in there than tables so there is no excuse for this poor service considering that this is a “high end” restaurant.

Not all flemings are the same. Beware of the one in Tyson’s!

Absolutely top tier in all categories. Drinks perfectly balanced (Old Fashion, Lemon Drop Martini), the food was seemingly prepared by whispering hands, sending one message...take your time. The space was inviting overall, they seem to be properly prepare for all occasions. Highly recommended.

The service was outstanding! Our waitperson knew the wine offerings and treated us with great care. The food was perfectly prepared and presented and the wine was delicious. Very nice experience.

Went there for my birthday. Best service and food in the Washington Metro area. Made me feel special by giving me birthday candles and chocolate treats. Our server was the best. Couldn't have been more attentive.

Had a celebratory dinner here. The staff went above and beyond to make the reservation special. Indulged all my request without hesitation.
The food was AMAZING. I would recommend the lobster bisque and the crab cakes. Absolutely out of this world. Oh, we can’t forget the cocktails. Their salted caramel espresso martini was one of the best I have ever had.

The service was phenomenal at Fleming's Steakhouse and the restaurant is beautiful. The maitre'd was excellent, our server had taken her time in explaining the menu, preferences and was very attentive. The chef knew of my shellfish allergies and made sure that calamari was not added to my Brussel sprouts. We had a wonderful dining experience and many thanks for acknowledging our anniversary.
