Standard diner fare with a twist. They have the basic items, but also some off the wall things like Cheese Blintz and Chicken Snitzel. I had the Chicken Snitzel and it was great. I did have to ask for gravy on the side, but they happily provided it. The green beans with fresh herbs were very good as well. There isn't anything award winning, but it is good honest fare that hits the spot. I will be back.
Overall this is a nice little place. Noise is moderate. Price is definitely a bit high for just two people. The food is very basic- nothing fancy. There is t much seasoning on things. Their home fries are just hash browns. No seasoning. Their biscuits look good. We asked for gravy for the biscuits. They had turkey gravy and I didn’t try it but I assume it was ok. It’s the white little dish in the picture that looks like yogurt. The French toast was pretty good....
It is always wonderful to have breakfast at McLean Family Restaurant—and even more so on a rainy day like today—with comforting Eggs Benedict, delicious coffee, and fluffy, tasty pancakes. The staff’s service fosters a sense of happiness and community, and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. Highly recommended!
