We had a wonderful experience here last night for our anniversary :) the tuna flight was a standout. We let them know it was a special occasion and the server treated us with great care, which did not go unnoticed. Between the quality of fish and quality of service, we'll definitely be back!

This was my first time at the restaurant and it was overall a good experience!

Karage: I was surprised by how much we were given! It’s plenty to share with 2-3 people for an appetizer. It was very crispy and juicy, but unfortunately a little too salty and the sauce was quite salty too.

Sushi/nigiri: they were really fresh and delicious. The rolls had a little too much rice for my personal taste, but they were also flavorful and would order again.

Risotto: this was such a great dish! I absolutely loved their Miso Shiitake Risotto. If you are ordering more items, this is good share for 2 people.

Dessert: I love anything with matcha, so if course I had to try their Matcha Tiramisu and Ice Cream. The ice cream was thick and rich and I loved it, the tiramisu was quite dry and not as flavorful.

The entire meal was around $140 + tip with everything you’re seeing in the photos. It’s a nice place for a date night.

First time visit this welcoming, inviting and elegantly decorated restaurant, that resulted in a very pleasant as well as satisfying experience not only with the service provided, but also with the ambience and the quality of the food. Definitely recommend if willing to have a quiet, intimate dinner or if wanting to order to take home and enjoy a delicious meal. Thank you for your service.

The atmosphere was nice, but food was not interesting, even though it was presented nicely. Everything was fine - edible, but quite bland. The soy sauce was very salty and had fishy taste on its own. They had no other options for soy sauce, did not replace it either (in case it went bad?) Disappointed to spend $150, to have mid food.

I just tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and I give it five stars in every way possible. It was absolutely fantastic. The food was so fresh and prepared with such care. The service was lovely. The environment was so relaxing and delightful. It may have been the best meal I’ve had in McLean for years. Ten stars if I could give it. We enjoyed a specialty role, several maki roles, vegetables and edamame. Our drinks were delicious too.

The ambience was nice. The waitresses and hostess were also friendly. Our food just took very long. We ordered beef tongue steak but it came out lukewarm/a little cold. We also ordered two premium rolls but it took another 35-40 minutes to come out. The price-to-value ratio is something to consider.

We came here to have dinner and the food was absolutely fantastic! We were blown away about the quality of everything from the food, decor, service, and just general ambience. From the first bite to the last were impeccable. The selection to choose from was impressive and super high quality. The chefs, servers were great. I applaud the creative chef, Chef Escorpeso in the curation of ingredients and putting it all together. He absolutely knocked it out of the park. We highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Back in May and June 2025, the food was outstanding. For the small portion, but high quality we happily returned in September after a long overseas trip. OMG what happened? The good chef left????

Chirashi with five much lower quality fish pieces and worst of all the rice was done incorrectly (I’ve lived in Japan and eaten high quality sushi many many times all over the world). The low quality of the rice is at best amateurish and can only fool the paisan nouveaux riches majority in NOVA. I prefer marufuji supermarket chirashi much more to this… and poor Wegmans sushi is on a par… I wouldn’t even pay half price for this…

Nothing impressed us so that’s the end of it. It’s so very unfortunate that the once high standard dropped so quickly. We almost took our friend there …

to your response: there is no way a professional sushi chef would do rice like this… It has nothing to do with taking out. By the way we also took out in May — and it was of a different quality level. I am sorry but something must have happened that day. I looked at a few recent pictures — it’s clear you do have someone who knows how to do a proper job. Just not on the day I ordered.
