Charred Hanover

Great food, wait staff was wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious, and the price was great. Would diffently recommend to anyone looking for some great food at a reasonable price. My wife and I will definitely be going back.

I am eating a Caesar salad i just ordered. Lettuce is good, chicken warm but it's covered with pizza parmesan. Come on PBR, that is the cheapest and low grade option.

We had a great experience here 3 weeks ago. Not yesterday. It was busy which is expected, so we sat at the bar. Two young women were working the bar, both ignored us. It took 5 minutes for the previous customer’s dirty dishes to be removed. We weren’t even given menus, we borrowed a menu from the customer next to us. One really busy young woman took our orders, my wife ordered Margarita Pizza and I ordered a mushroom/Swiss burger. After about 20 minutes my burger came out on two plates, 1/2 burger on each. There was no one to ask about my wife’s meal, we tried but they were so busy washing glasses and mixing drinks. Totally ignoring us. After another 20 minutes the young woman that took our order said she thought we were going to spilt the burger meal, then she said my wife’s pizza would be out shortly. And she made a comment about it being noisy. How did she know my wife ordered pizza now but didn’t place the order earlier?
In most restaurants when an order gets delayed and it’s the establishment’s fault the customer isn’t charged for that item. We were fully charged, no apology, nothing. No concern. I doubt if we patronize Charred Hanover again but if we do we definitely won’t sit at the bar.

My family and I enjoy the delicious steak dinner from here. Bit pricey but the service was great and the food was tasty. We will probably end up going back soon.

6/2025 ancho chili rubbed ribeye and Nashville fries are killer!!! Added blackened shrimp skewer that packed a nice spicy punch! Scallops were perfect!!

4/2025 Best brussel sprouts(i added bacon)for sure!! Creole shrimp and fries delicious as well as Charred special pizza...love the use flof fresno chili peppers 🌶

Great brunch! Fresno Buffalo Wings were delicious way to kick off the meal. Ownership presence is always a great thing. Keep up the good work!

1st time ever at this restaurant in Hanover. Made 7pm reservations and was seated immediately. Service was excellent. We had appetizers and never felt we were being rushed. Ordered our food and it came out in a timely manner. Hot and delicious with huge portions. Highly recommend Charred restaurant.

I meant to take a picture and completely forgot. I got the calamari for an app and the shrimp po’boy for my entree and both were fantastic. The waitress was very kind and attentive without hovering. The atmosphere was also very good and wasn’t so loud that it drowned out the table, but enough so that the other tables around us weren’t overpowering our own conversation. Prices were fine and I would absolutely eat here again.

I went for the Father’s Day special, I was disappointed to find out that it was just catered and they didn’t make it themselves. For such a high price I expected something better.
The brisket was very good and tender and the cornbread had great flavor but the look of it wasn’t very appealing.
The rest of the food was pretty bland, especially the Mac and cheese, and the ribs were tough and chewy.
Overall it was just very underwhelming.

I went to this establishment with a friend. We had reservations for 7 and i was seated promptly. The server, Lexi was great and the establishment was nice. I didn’t have the best experience with the food. The calamari was good, way too many tentacles for my liking but it had a good taste and dipping sauces. I ordered the steak Oscar with collards. The collards were pretty good however, i was extremely disappointed with the steak. I ordered it medium rare, came out and it was definitely rare, a bit rubbery too. I decided to try it but could nor stomach how raw it was. I finally decided to ask the server to correct it, and she pleasantly did so. When i got it back, mind you this was a steak with crab meat and bernaise sauce, it was the same steak i had already cut in to and i am not sure how they managed to cook it with the sauce on top?! I am very particular about sending food back but i decided to try it…didn’t fix it very much. I just expected better at $38 dollars a plate. Also i ordered a cheese pizza to go, when it came out there was cheese on it that hadn’t even melted. I was disappointed with my experience this time.
