We ate at the Mechanicsville location on our way home from out of state. I always order a chimichanga every time I have Mexican, which is often. I ordered one today with ground beef. When it was brought out to me it looked like a taquito ( a 1/3 of the size). A manager came over and was not happy when I told him that. He said that was their normal size chimi’s. To top it all off when I took my first bite it was lovely.
First time trying Mexico Restaurant in Mechanicsville. Awful. We did to-go. The orders were wrong. I ordered supreme steak nachos. What I received is steamed steak with a few chips. Enchiladas lack flavor. And the taco order was missing all toppings. It was a tortilla shell, meat, cheese. For supreme, where is the rest! Horrible first impression. I cannot recommend and definitely will not go there again.
The people and food at this restaurant are top notch!! My parents, Dick and Jan, have been going here for years. Recently my Dad passed away and while the family was in town, we ordered take out from there. Not only did they have an order for 9 people ready in 15 minutes, but the food was delicious and made right, even with the special requests for the picky eaters, but they also treated my son, daughter and myself with so much care and respect.
