50 West Vineyards

The vibe, view, service, and Viognier were fantastic. We sat outside with our doggo and enjoyed a glass of the 2023 Viognier and the 2022 Viognier; both were fantastic. We also ordered some Gouda and salami, and the portions were very generous.

I recently held my retirement party at 50 West Vineyards, and it was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, everything was seamless, and the venue was stunning. The owner went above and beyond to ensure the event was flawless and created a truly beautiful atmosphere.

I received countless compliments from my guests, many of whom said it was the best retirement party they’ve ever attended! The attention to detail, the setting, and the care put into every aspect of the event made it unforgettable for all of us.

If you’re looking for a venue that delivers not only an incredible experience but also the personal touch that makes your event special, I couldn’t recommend 50 West Vineyards more highly. It was the perfect place for such a meaningful celebration in my life!

Great everyday wines with a amazing twist for a balanced pattern experience. A huge shout out to Doug who made out experience extra special and the AMAZING recommendation to sunset hills that we enjoyed the next day. Sister vineyards with a distinct difference in the best way

Exceptional. 50 West management knows what they're doing and it shows. The wines are mixed well and the staff know their product.

Doug conducted my tasting after a bit of a operational sanfu and he did not disappoint. He offered rich history on the winery as well as knowledge on each wine and grape verietal. Speaking of wine, their guided tasting did not disappoint. You start off clean and fresh with a Viognier and end with a sumptuous red they've named Ashby Gap.

The property itself is stunning sitting atop a hill that overlooks Bull Run. There are views upon views. And they are not done making it a full experience with the introduction of a cigar parlor and a Bubbly tasting room.

This winery is a true gem. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a breathtaking view!

The tasting experience was superb, with a diverse selection of wines that cater to every palate. Each sip revealed the meticulous craftsmanship and passion behind every bottle. The knowledgeable staff guided us through the tasting, providing insightful details about the winemaking process and the unique characteristics of each wine.

We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover exceptional wines and a welcoming ambiance.

This is my new favorite winery in nova! I have no idea how we’ve never been here before. The view is by far the best in the area. There’s a spacious outdoor patio, upstairs balcony, and beautiful modern indoor area with floor to ceiling windows. Don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house! The staff is also super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Not at all like the stuck up pretentious vibes at some nearby wineries. The wines we tried were delicious (viognier and Vidal blanc) both perfect for a hot summer day! Didn’t get a chance to try any reds. Very dog friendly outside which is always a plus. I was shocked it wasn’t more crowded. Can’t wait to go back very soon!

First time going back to 50west since the new ownership , we totally love it . They have done a remarkable job by expending and redoing everything, from the indoor to outdoor and second floor space .
Also very nice to have three restroom's now, much more counter room for tasting too, and love the fact it’s for 21+ only ? our wine server was super good and she explained each wines very well , we got a bottle for the patio and food that was super good, we will definitely go back now more often

Loved this winery. Great indoor seating, music wasn't loud, the musician was fantastic, and the wine was perfect.

First time visiting, and even on a rainy day, we loved the vibe inside!! Super modern, but cozy. We tasted wine with Gunner - who was amazing, fun, and super knowledgeable! Can’t remember a time where I genuinely enjoyed every wine in the tasting. LOVE THIS PLACE! Thanks Gunner!

Beautiful views, good wine, new facilities are very nice with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Wish they had things to eat other than cheese and cheese spreads and crackers/bread since they do not allow outside food, but a great place to enjoy wine and the scenery

What was better, the wine or Joe?....Driving up to the property you are greeted by the stunning rolling hills and quaint property. I should have brought my tennis racket.The warm decor compliments the view of the mountains and invites you to enjoy a glass ( or 6 ) of wine.We were greeted by Joe and invited to a tasting of wine.I'm no stranger to a tasting. I have enjoyed the company of many wines. And the wine was great. 50 West has the variety to satisfy any pallet. From the dry to sweet white or bold and complex reds there is a wine to capture the interest of anyone.But the wine is not the only area where 50 West shines.Joe walked us through each bottle with captivating takes of his life. We laughed, exchanged ideas, and talked about life like old friends do. It was joes warm Appalachian personality that made our time special. It complimented the wine like a fine cheese or aged beef but none of the calories.We look forward to returning.
