Freezing cold restaurant (on a warm day), with one room noticeably colder than the rest of the also cold restaurant. Small portions and very limited menu. I didn't even eat the dessert. Staff were absolutely fabulous and the building itself is steeped in history.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect. The hotel has such a charming English cottage vibe with beautiful landscaping. You do not feel like you are steps away from the busy shopping street of Middleburg.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We loved having breakfast and coffee delivered to our door each morning. It was such a nice touch and made our mornings extra relaxing.

Just finished a three night stay at the red Fox Inn & Tavern. This is a first class in with lots of room choices. It is right in the heart of Middleburg, so everything in town is within walking distance. Lots of places to go see within a 60 minute drive. Easy drive to Harper‘s ferry and then to Antum. We also went on a Saturday morning to Mount Vernon and it was just a little over an hour to get there. Breakfast delivered to your room every morning and they have a managers...
