INCREDIBLE food. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. The cocktails and bourbon menu are insane as well!

What a gem! The decor and atmosphere is nice but laid back, the service is great, and the food was fantastic. We shared the chicken liver pate and the pork belly bites for starters which were both great. I had an old fashioned from the House Cocktails which was perfect. Tried the duck for my main course and it was perfectly cooked and the flavors of the whole dish were amazing. I live in the Northwest US and would go to JuneBaby in Seattle when it was there, which was a Southern/soul food restaurant that won a James Beard award for best new restaurant in the NW one year, and my meal at Vault & Cellar was just as fantastic as any meal I had there. If this was located where I live I'd be here all the time.

Visiting from out of state, we happened to find this while looking for somewhere to eat and now we're planning trips around being able to come back. The food was exceptional, the bourbon selection is almost too much and the service was wonderful.

Hidden gem in a cute small town. The cocktails are great and the wild boar sausage and venison were absolutely lovely. Our waiter Morgan had great recommendations.

I haven’t stopped by just yet, but I’m very much looking forward to trying all their tasty looking vegan options! Thanks for prioritizing inclusivity.

Truly a unique experience! Their cocktails are rich- I had the “I can buy myself flowers,” and the new spring salad is so replenishing. I love the crew and recommend emerging yourself in this gem.

Quite pricy, but worth every dime!Cocktails, desert, and appetizers were good overall, but the entrees were out of this world! The elevated Appalachian cuisine is a super cool concept for a restaurant, a lot of great dishes, amazing taste, good atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back.

We had an incredible dining experience at Vault & Cellar this evening. My husband ordered the Wild Boar Sausage and I had the Fried Catfish ( perfectly fried with just the right amount of crisp to it). We shared the Scotch Eggs and Pork Belly Bites (if you've never had pork belly with grapes and peanuts.... Omg). They have a variety of libations to choose from so I decided on the Killing Me Softly (Duck fat- washed Bulleit Bourbon, Vermouth, juniper brown sugar syrup, elderberry & black walnut bitters) and wow, it was an experience. My husband had the 1792 small batch. Compliments to the amazing chef and owner Kari Rushing who brought out Appalachian Egg Rolls, Black Walnut Pesto, Pickle Ice Cream w/ shots of Russell's Reserve (incredible) and Bread Pudding for us to try.The service, ambiance and offerings were incredible and we are already planning our next visit back for brunch.

This place is a culinary adventure - in an awesome way! I love this restaurant. The drinks are amazing too, especially if you like bourbon.

Just found this place!!!! Wow!!! Unbelievable! Gourmet, well balanced meals with amazing taste. We had shrimp and grits, peanut soup, quail scotch eggs !!! I'm coming back again and again!!! This Chef is awesome!!! Cool small restaurant feel, with an out of this world bourbon list!!! New favorite restaurant in Virginia!

So my Daughter and I decided to go here tonight after her dance recital tonight. For a little Daddy Daughter time. I've been here before but she hasn't. She got the Vault Burger which was cooked to perfection. I had the Fried Catfish and Lentils. The Catfish was overcooked and burnt not that golden brown flakey goodness. That I was hoping for. The lentils were extremely bland. The best part of the night were our appetizers which were yhe Appalachian Egg rolls which were delicious. My bill was around $58 which I felt that was a little bit much. To pay for burnt Catfish and bland Lentils.

Great spot! Well crafted cocktails, professional-friendly service, and very tasty food. Longest Bourbon list I’ve seen. Had the Boar, wife had the duck; we both wish we had gotten the venison.
