Delightful find. Both the boar sausage and the venison were great as were the Appalachian egg rolls. Our server, Paula, was very gracious and made sure we were happy with our food.
Great food and service. A bit pricey. We had a large group so we sampled some appetizers. The pimento cheese and Appalachian egg rolls were a hit with everyone, I also enjoyed the pickle platter. Between us, we had almost every entree on the menu, the duck, rabbit, pork chop, and burger all received rave reviews.
The food and atmosphere here are really amazing. The decor is tasteful yet rustic. The host and servers were very friendly, too. Service was not very personal despite it being a slow evening, but that’s OK. I would have appreciated recommendations as a first-timer. Minus one star because the water tasted so… gross?? I’m from out of state so maybe that’s just how water is here, but it had such an off-putting chemical/mineral flavor.
