I've officially given up. Since the sale of this place to its new owners about 3 years ago, it's gone downhill. The food is always bland, spices are clearly a thing of the past, and meat quality has tanked. Service is indifferent now, and oftentimes, you have to flag people down to get a drink refill.
Head to the Powhatan location under the same name, and you'll immediately taste a difference and notice more personable service.

First time here. The staff were so friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was beautiful and clean. When looking at the menu, there were so many options. It took forever to make a choice. We ended up with steak chimichangas and baja shrimp quesadilla. The food was so fresh and so good, we can't wait to go back!
The food was excellent and the service was great. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and the beans were so tasty. I usually don't eat all of the beans but they were so good that nothing was left on my plate! 🤣🤣

I have been here many times and I use to count it as my favorite Mexican restaurant. However I was very disappointed this time. I got the Chile Verde, which I have had often. This time the sauce and meat were very bland. The only saving grace was the pork was still tender. I will try it again in hopes that they didn't have their regular chef that day. The service was still excellent and the place is still too dark.

Best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Their Quesadillas are wonderful and their half pineapple specialty looks AWESOME. Their bathroom is also very interesting, maintaining 2 soap dispensers along with scenic decor on the walk to the toilet which makes it more enjojable. On another note, our waiter Josue is one of the best and nicest waiters we have ever had. Come here and have a wonderful experience dining on delicious food!
