I ordered 3ct Whiting platter with sweet potatoe casserole and Mac& cheese. The casserole and mace and cheese was the best in my opinion. The fish was ok but it needed some seasoning. I also buy one of the cakes from Maggie Sweet Treats, it was red velvet cake. I should’ve asked how long it was there the cake was hard as a rock. I would ask how long before buy or look at it before you buy. I thought they made the desserts in house.The owner was very nice and personable though.

I had a catered affair, a fish fry and the soul rolls stole the show. The service was great, and getting to know Michele and her staff added an extra star. Would I use them again, absolutely!

The café dinners include: Fried Shrimp Platter, Chicken Wing Platter, Cat Fish Platter, Meatloaf Platter, and Pork Chop Platter smothered in grilled onions and gravy! Yes please! Plus a few more choices! The breakfast menu includes Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, pancakes, plus all the usual country breakfast fare! For the sideshow, some items are 4 cheese Mac n' cheese, collard greens, sweet potato casserole, Cajun fries, coleslaw, cornbread and more mouthwatering selections! The owner, Michele, is super friendly and welcoming! It felt like I knew her forever! She carries Maggie's Cupcakes, baked fresh by Rebekah, and I made a special trip there just to buy those delicious cupcakes! I ordered some spicecake with cream cheese frosting, red velvet & of course, chocolate!! Rebekah is an amazing baker and I'm excited she is selling her baked goods in the café! She also sells a variety of cakes and pies! I love the cultural décor and all the artwork inside! I can't wait to go back and feast on Ma's cooking!

Oh my goodness our breakfast was amazing! Latica (sp) was so sweet. The chicken and waffles were perfect. My daughter also loved the Midlothian. She had the eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes.

I will be back. The staff made us feel like we had just come home from a long day. The food was so good I ordered twice. I can not believe I didn't noticed the little hole in the wall café. The atmosphere was amazing. Keep doing what ya'll are doing it everything was amazing !!? a little slice of soul.

I ordered from Ma Michele's through Door Dash one morning for breakfast. I've passed by this place for years & was intrigued by the menu so I I finally decided to give it a try! I ordered the fried salmon cake platter. The fried salmon cakes were delicious! I would probably suggest some sort of special sauce to go with the salmon cakes. However, everything else on the platter was pretty disappointing. The eggs & grits weren't seasoned very well & lacked flavor. But I was most disappointed by the the corn bread & biscuit. The corn bread was dry,extremely crumbly, & lacked flavor. The biscuit was very chewy. I'm guessing that the cornbread & biscuit were just reheated & were made a few days before. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn't try this place again. I was pretty disappointed by the quality of the food I ordered.

Stopped by during Black Restaurant Week and tried a meal. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and allowed me to sample items. Everything was tasty and delicious. Definitely, will be coming back to this gem.

I was so ready to eat some good soul food, hadn't been here in a long time, read over the reviews b4 I came, take the drive 2 come & eat from her new menu & just like 1 of the reviews said she likes 2 change the hours of when she is open! It's 6:30 pm & Google says she is open until 8pm, this place was closed with a sign on the door! Had 2 go 2 my old spot!

I was looking forward to ordering my Sunday dinner for pick up today. It's a 20 minute ride from my house, so I order ahead. I have been calling since 12:15. First I was on hold for more than 5 minutes. Now I'm being sent to a full mailbox and told to hang up. I'll try some other time. I had hoped to at least be on my way home with my food by now.
Always have a good experience!! Would recommend for everything! Whether regular or first time, food and customer service is A1?

Food is good and pricing is good, but the owner never has a set schedule and changes closing days and times too often. She can't keep any help and they hardly ever answer the phone also. Her portions are too small as well including the cornbread. Now that Golden Corral is open I probably will not be going to Ma Michelle's anymore. The last time I was there the lady forgot to put my side orders into my bag and had an attitude.

Delicious food! I had the veggie platter with Mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, fried cabbage and cornbread, everything was yummy. The decor is very cute and funky.Ma Michelle was super nice. Currently they only do takeout, you can order at the counter or call in, but you can eat inside (or one table outside). Loved it! We will definitely be back.

My family and I ordered takeout yesterday and thought the food was great. The meatloaf and mac and cheese were delicious. The cabbage was okay but under seasoned. The potato salad was placed in the same takeout box as the hot food so it was warm when we got home but still tasty. The cornbread was our least favorite part of the meal as it was extremely dry and tasteless. Overall the meal was good and we will return.
