Rico's Mexican Restaurant

This is one of my go to places. Always excellent food. I usually get the same thing, but my wife has ordered something different several times and always enjoyed it.

The Burrito El Grande is HUGE. Enough for at least three meals.

Get together for family birthday. 12 of us. One person waiting on us as well as waiting on about another 10 tables. When I asked for fresh guacamole sorry I'm waiting on a lot of people and it may take a while. Four people's orders didn't come until after the others had almost finished their meal. Two items never showed up at all. Three people left our party and paid when they left and I picked up the remainder of the tab. Which they tried to charge me for their order that they had previously paid for. I believe we got the bill straight. They also wanted me to step aside so that they could take other customers payments. I politely said I'm paying for 12 customers you need to take care of my bill. This is only the second time that I've visited this restaurant the first time was a week ago with a large group and the service was wonderful. I really like the food at this restaurant however it's not my fault that they don't have enough staff. Very unhappy retired Chesterfield resident.

Sat outside on the patio and the service was great and quick. The margaritas are absolutely amazing — I recommend the strawberry (mango is a close second). The food was INCREDIBLE. I got the potato and chorizo street tacos and my mouth is watering just thinking back on it. 10/10 recommend you go here! This is coming from an actual Mexican, too! I know my authentic food and this is 100% it

The atmosphere in the restaurant was above and beyond, mood lighting, an outdoor patio, and the cutest decor. The wait staff was friendly, and our food came out pretty quickly. Me and my boyfriend decided to just get Mexican as a safe option, but they blew it out of the water with the flavors and the presentation. I would absolutely come here again!

Place looks small until you get inside. The food was great, hot and flavorful. Very loud for a restaurant. Service sucked - waiter had attitude, drinks not refilled, took forever to get a check. The hostess was nice with a smile.

First time there. The food was really good. My husband has been trying to find chili rellenos like they make in texas...and these were better than texas. Every dish was delishus and we will be back for sure. Ty Rico's

I am SO happy we found this place. This is the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving from Texas. Exceptional carnitas and the large burrito was the size of a two liter Coke bottle. Phenomenal food, will be back again soon.

Everything was great, except i ordered soft tacos and got hard.

Third visit
Sorry all, no photos. I was hungry and ate without slowing for photos. Ordered the chimichanga. Cooked perfectly. Service perfect. Atmosphere very family and local regulars oriented. I have no complaints.
Now about the margaritas... the jumbo is too big. The regular is too small. There needs to be one in the middle. That is the only improvement I would/,could suggest.

Second visit definitely beat the first. Family business feeling definitely here. Local regulars definitely here. Worth a visit - yes. Do not order a jumbo Texas Margarita unless you plan to be here a while or have a designated driver. I gave up at 3/4.

I ordered a grande grilled chicken quesadilla but there was no quesadilla. Only chicken and cheese. The meal was good but it was NOT what I ordered and I did not feel like driving back down Hull St for my correct order. What makes its bad is that there was absolutely nobody in there when I ordered so how can a mistake like this be made during non busy hours? I'll give them another shot, but if my order is ever wrong again, I will not continue to order from here.
