This place has a special hold on my heart. My fiancé proposed to me here and it has been one of our favorite little spots. I cannot say that the food is not good - because the last time I ate there was when they only had nachos on the menu. However, if you are looking for great drinks with a variety to choose from, and an amazing atmosphere - this is definitely the spot. We love that there is a live band on weekends, and the Sangria during the summer is AMAZING - so much so that I have bought the growlers and took them home! I believe if anyone is looking for something on the water, but not as commercialized, this is definitely the spot!

Easy going and relaxing - service left a little something to be desired, but didn’t expect much more considering we were there on a Tuesday (off peak season). We had to run to the bar to order food and drinks, no table side service available. Assume it’s due to how slow it was. A nice selection of beers, and food was ok - it was Taco Tuesday, so, they offered a few options. Will return to enjoy the atmosphere. Dogs are welcome, which was nice have our pup with us.

Great place to hang out and have a local beer or cider. The view is wonderful. I wish they had heaters going outside while we were there. Great view of Lake Anna. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful!

We've heard about the Taphouse since it opened, both good and bad things...unfortunately, more bad. But on a recent weekday, we decided to give it a try for an early dinner. It was a Wednesday, around 4:30pm, so it wasn't really busy. And we were lucky to hit happy hour. We ordered our food, with a couple of beers, and wandered out back to wait for our buzzer to go off. The outside area is really great, with tables on the porch, or you can wander down to the astro turf for more tables. My wife had the spring rolls, and the pretzel bites basket. I had the Angus burger & fries. The spring rolls were okay, and the pretzel bites a bit greasy, but the burger & fries were really good. We both thought it was good enough to try again, which is exactly what we will do at some point.

We moved to Lake Anna a couple of years ago and this was the first place we ate at. Food is decent at best but takes forever. Would love to see healthier options too. The beer menu is pretty good and has a variety to choose from. The shining star of this establishment is the large outdoor area.
