Darlene, our server for the evening, was an absolute gem. Everything she recommended was just as good as she said. We ate here for a nice dinner and we all enjoyed. There was pasta, salmon Caesar salad, steak frites, and a pork chop. To say it was delicious is an understatement. Even the complimentary bread was good. Couldn't recommend this restaurant more!
Another great meal last night at The Blackwater Cafe! We dine here every time we visit SML and are always greeted with a smile when we arrive. The restaurant wasn't crowded, so we were able to be seated immediately. We both had the prime rib and baked potato special. The excellent sized portion of prime rib was cooked perfectly and very tender. The homemade horsey sauce on the side was delicious. The baked potatoes were yummy too. Absolutely fantastic! I got the chicken and waffles and it was probably the best I've ever had, and it'll take something extremely special to top this one. Loved the cayanne syrup. Mom had the pulled pork, and said it was really good (but debatable on whether or not it was worth $20) I recommend the place nonetheless.
