Good food, drinks, and scenery.
Lovely winery with very good quality wines. Their wines tend to be dry or off dry, which is exactly how we like them. They have several preplanned wine flights, depending on your wine prefence, but all flights are four 3-ounce pours, which is quite generous. My wife thought the reds were too acidic for her, but I liked them, which is odd for me, as I'm more of a white wine person. Their outdoor seating is very comfortable, and the staff (Sarah!) isso welcoming. And do yourself a favor and order the olive oil and bagette.
We would definitely return.
What a beautiful space with stellar wines!
Surprisingly good wines and decent food
The food and sweet wine flight were amazing!
Great panoramic mountain view. Pet friendly. Live music.
A lot of great wines to sample and buy by the glass or bottle. Beautiful country setting with great views. Not crowded at all during the week. Sara was our host, bartender, and server. To say she was running her butt off the entire time we were there is an understatement. She was a pleasure to chat with and is quite knowledgeable about the wines they have, as well as wine in general. We also had lunch and found the food to be well worth the price, especially the chicken salad on the croissant.
So pretty and intimate. The wine is nice and smooth.
Favorite vineyard near Shenandoah Park. Red winds are fantastic and the atmosphere is great, dog friendly outside.
We love this place! Every time we visited Mt. Jackson VA, we tried to stop by and tasted their wine flight. We usually sit outside and enjoy the view of the country side of Virginia!

The best wine you can ever drink! The scenery is beautiful and I always enjoy visiting. The staff are always very friendly and informative.
Another lovely day at Cave Ridge. We enjoyed the igloos to start and live music inside later. They expanded their bite menu which includes a pumpkin butternut squash soup - amazing (unfortunately I forgot to take a photo). The 2023 viognier is the wine I was most excited about today (I had already tried most of the current reds). Really the full selection right now is a standout. Don’t leave without the sparkling raspberry noir (but, don’t take too many bottles or I’ll regret posting this).
We left with Red Silk, sparkling raspberry, cab sauv, viognier, Fossil Hill and the chambourcin mulled wine kit.
Also excited for their new event space to open!
Very peaceful and serene with beautiful views and wonderful staff. We had an amazing charcuterie board served with a smile.
Cave Ridge Vineyards is a must see! This vineyard needs to be on your list of places to visit in Mt. Jackson. We did the flight of their wines and each wine was better than the one before. Our favorites for the flight was the Red Silk, Mount Jackson, Summer Splash and the White Wine Cabernet Franc. Lauren was an absolute delight as our guide through the wines and answered all our questions. The vineyard itself had great seating and live music (on Saturday). The food was amazing, there was nothing we ate that we did not like. We had an amazing time and will definitely will be visiting again.
Wine fights are much better in rainy days, chocolate and great music!
