The Copper Kettle is a solid place to land after a day of skiing or snowboarding at Bryce Resort. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, and the service is friendly—exactly what you want when you come in cold and ready to unwind.
The hot chocolate we ordered was okay and definitely a step up from the cafeteria, but still a bit underwhelming. Given that this is the resort’s main dining option, I was hoping for something a little richer or more memorable—especially on a winter day when a great hot chocolate feels like it should be a given.
Overall, Copper Kettle delivers on comfort, atmosphere, and service. With a little extra attention to simple seasonal staples, it could easily feel like a standout part of the Bryce experience.

The service was very attentive and fairly quick. The beer was cold but the food was very mediocre. It was a limited menu due to ULLR which we were fine with but it just wasn't good. The caesar salad had old, limp lettuce and too much dressing. The chili tasted weirdly like hot dogs. The brisket was tender but had no flavor.

What a disappointment. We were a group of 4 and visited on Thanksgiving day. The restaurant had a limited menu with three dinners listed. That was fine. Each dinner listed had the promise of being very good. Each of our dinners would have been very good except they were lukewarm. The most hilarious thing was the server said be careful because the plates were very hot. The components were of good quality but not hot. I had the turkey dinner. The mashed potatoes and turkey were tasty. The gravy was not enough to notice. The green bean casserole was not good. Crunchy green beans with French fried onions on top do not a casserole make. The bread did not melt the butter. I had coffee and it was reasonably hot. My three companions expressed the same opinion about the lack of warmth of the food. One said it was the worst meal she had ever had. The excuse of it was Thanksgiving and the restaurant was very busy as one would expect would not be valid. The restaurant was only half full at best. Of note is that the acoustics were terrible as the restaurant was very noisy at half full. Our server was very pleasant but not outstanding and the meals arrived within a reasonable wait period, probably because they were already sitting in the kitchen. This was our first visit and will be our last to the Copper Kettle. It ruined what should have been a special event with friends.

This is a public restaurant at a private golf course. Certain parking spots are members only. Nice place, good food. They sometimes have membership activities in a separate room. It is located right at the bottom of the hill. Outdoor seating available. Circular bar with TVs. I had this nice flatbread pizza. This was in Oct, so it was pretty empty.

FINALLY Bryce Resort has a knowledgeable chef back in the kitchen. Chef Braxton has created a menu offering tantalizing appetizers, a nice selection of salads, delicious burgers and sandwiches plus some decadent entrees. My group enjoyed the wings, chicken Marsala and Braxton burger. If you haven’t visited the restaurant for awhile or if you’ve never been, go see them for some yummy food! Prices are moderate. Great for single persons, couples, families or groups.

Good resort food and drink. Nut allergy friendly
Made a dinner reservation because it’s BryceFest. Reservation is for 8p and the place is nearly empty. Odd when there’s probably 500+ people outside, listening to the band on your patio.
We were greeted by an older woman, who I’m guessing is in a supervisory role. She was unfriendly, seemingly unhappy to be working on a Saturday night and then seats us in the big, completely empty dining hall versus the half empty main dining room. My husband asked if we could move into the main room and she became increasingly annoyed while pawning us off onto a server. This host/ manager then proceeded to spend her remaining time sitting next to the buffet table and complain/ vent to another employee about whatever else.
The food. It was buffet night. I picked up green beans, “roasted” redskin potatoes, Mac & cheese, chicken breast. They also had served coleslaw and a house salad but were out by the time we got there. The green beans were unwashed and gritty. They were firm, lukewarm, salty with a wet snap. The potatoes were raw, cold and seasoned with salt & pepper (arguably the most seasoned item on my plate). The mac was completely flavorless. They were just yellow, wet noodles. The chicken was overcooked and lacked even basic seasoning. I had squirted BBQ sauce on the whitest piece of chicken. The chicken only served as a vessel for BBQ sauce. There was no other flavor. Along with nothing having any flavor, all of the food was room temperature. Nothing was hot. We ordered one alcoholic beverage and our total was $90. This was completely outrageous. We didn’t even eat all of the food on our plates. This was our second experience with CK (both disappointing) and most certainly our last.

Our group of 6 dined here on Friday evening around 8. The service was bad (I don't think this was ultimately our servers fault). I'm guessing there was no chef/cook or other support. There were only about 2 other tables being served, both of which left before we had our food. After the orders were taken, 4 of us got our food fairly quickly, another got theirs several minutes later and the 6th person never got her food. All staff seemed to completely disappear while one of us waited for food for over 25 minutes after everyone else was done eating. We finally found the bartender who went into the kitchen. There was an odd apology and the waitress said she overcooked the scallops the first time (no cook?) - then the order came out well after everyone else was done. One of us ordered the steak au poivre (upon recommendation from host). It came out an odd gray color and well done (ordered med rare)...it looked like it was boiled or microwaved. It seems there was no cook in the kitchen who knew what they were doing as this couldn't have been the intention. We got one drink and never saw anyone again to ask for refills or water - or to ask what had happened with the steak. To our servers credit, we were offered free desserts but a large credit may have been more appropriate. I do think things went wrong somewhere and our server was in over her head.
54 of us for dinner. They rocked serving such a large group that was in for a family member funeral. Thank you!
Awesome place, great outside seating area...quiet, very relaxing
Delicious options to choose from for a great meal. Also seems like a great place to grab a drink.
What a let down was looking forward to this beware of the shrimp and grits. I was looking for a great bowl of grits with shrimp. Way wrong see photo it very small fried grits with 1 shrimp 3 total. Not worth the $20. Bummer
