I've been eating at this restaurant since 2018 or 2019. I found them when Lion of Judah in Hampton shut down. I don't think the bad reviews are fair and the 3.6 rating does not represent CG Delights fairly. They should have atleast 4.3/4.4 right aside other restaurants in the area. Oxtails always tender, vegetables never overcooked, meats in general all tender great flavor and cooked all the way through. That review saying someone had their shirt off has to be full of it and you can look at the picture they added and see the rice is cooked all the way through, if you want mushy rice make it at home (why would you want mushy rice though 🀒). This is a place you should walk into and wait for your order or order over the phone and pick up yourself. They add specials to their menu you won't see online. Right now they have a chicken soup 🍲 and it warmed my soul, consistent smooth texture, chicken bone in (if you know what's good for you then you know this is the best for you), small potatoes, small dumplings and the flavor and fresh herbs. Go in and try it now. Finally, everyone in here is a sweetheart, leave your nasty attitudes at home, the meals and experience are so much better without the negative energy.

The restaurant is dark. We ordered oxtails, rice and beans, with cabbage, and the food was too salty. No beas in the rice and beans.

It gets no stars worst restaurant I been to never again

I had spicy shrimp curry, cabbage, rice and peas, plantain, and coco bread. The curry had good flavor not super spicy so that was good for me. Rice and peas were nice and the cabbage wasn't over cooked or oily. Coco bread was nice and soft. I would say the shrimp was a tad over cooked but still decent. If you were to dine in it was a bit warm in the restaurant, but I had a to go order so. I did really like the candies, spices, and other food stuffs for sale. They also had desserts available.

i ordered rice and cabbage with extra curry gravy over it, the cabbage was rough as if it wasn't cooked enough, the rice was a minimum portion, and there was very little to no gravy, i'll never return to this place.

Food was ok, my wife didn’t like it. They were willing to replace it, but I got to go back by. Cabbage was great.

We have driven past this place for years but finally decided to give it a shot. Not disappointed at all.I had the jerk chicken and my wife had the curry goat. We split a beef patty as well.I left with a very full tummy and was actually disappointed that there was nothing left for me to take home.Absolutely recommend

I had COMPLETELY given up on the restaurant. However, I decided to give the market side a try. If you find yourself at this location, which I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND, let's talk:First thing first....check expiration before you purchase ANYTHING! If there's none, consider it expired! These people had shelf and refrigerator items that's been expired for over a YEAR!!Secondly, DO NOT try ANYTHING they recommend.Stick to places and things that works for you.

I was really hoping this place was legit, for one the prices are high and the beef patties I ordered were greasy and tasted like they were fried in fish grease. I could only eat one and tossed the other. I'll give it one more try on the oxtails since ppl say it's good we'll see, I love oxtails.
