The food here was amazing. I got the pollo guisado since it was suggested to me and I was amazed at the flavor. The empanadas were great as well. I will definitely be going back.

Sad that none of this businesses hours are updated online. I'm visiting town and wanted to bring my husband to try this place but drove 45 minutes for absolutely nothing. Please see new hours. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Tamara: This is not accurate, as these pictures were taken today (I also just went onto Google and Yelp again and it is still showing this establishment is OPEN!). For you as the owner to not even show any care or apologies of this regardless when you see the pictures posted is quite upsetting. My plan was to update this review once this was remedied as we wasted time and gas over it. Why in the world would a customer lie? And why is it a customers responsibility to go through different avenues to locate different sites for business hours? Thank you for showing your interest (or lack thereof) in resolving this.

Came right as they opened, having been looking for a place to try something new. I have no experience with Puerto Rican food but the server was extremely kind and answered any questions we had! She gave suggestions and explained some items. The food was so perfect! I loved the fried plantains, and the beans with the rice on the side were amazing! I'd go back there to try more!

I’m assuming they got a new cook or something. The last time I ate there was in August. Tonight I decided to order two empanadas and tostones. My empanadas were disgusting. I could taste they were cooked in old grease. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting in water. No flavor whatsoever (had much flavor in August).

When I first discovered this establishment a few years back I was excited to have a Puerto Rican Restaurant in my area and even tried to justify the food being way overpriced but they drew their last straw this weekend when I placed a to go order of Sancocho… not only was it over $20 which is INSANE but the food was not flavorful, some of the root vegetables were still hard as heck and to top it off this was a to go order and because I am recovering from surgery I sent my daughter inside with cash to pay for the pickup order to only have her come back with no receipt and no change. I sent her back to get a receipt to confirm change was due and apparently they thought it was appropriate to tip themselves and not give the corresponding change without me going inside to inquire for it on my own. It’s a shame because I really wanted to support a Puerto Rican Business but these folks need to get a grip. The food needs improvement, the staff needs training and the restaurant needs to be fumigated!! I’ll stick to cooking my own cultural meals!

Staff was very pleasant and food was great, I'm not sure if they have live music but if they did, this place would have Salsa's beat!!

**WARNING** Ate lunch recently and had a couple issues1. A large roach crawled out of the kitchen and across the dining floor and disappeared into the opposing wall. Needless to say if there are active roaches in the middle of the day, cant imagine the place at night.2. The restaurant was empty, yet they took about 30-40 min to make our food. I just ordered a sandwich.3. The food was meh. I've had good Puerto Rican food before, and you can tell the food here was under seasoned, and not much thought put into the recipe. You are better off youtubing Mofongo recipes and making it at home.BL: Don't recommend, eat somewhere elsePS: The waitress and customer service was really good.

Just had a flashback of the tripleta I had from here in 2021, as I try to figure out what to have for breakfast. Back in 2019, my coworker fell in love with this place. She found the food authentic and a taste of home. The pic she sent me of the mofongo looked amazing. In April 2021, she brought in a tripleta for breakfast one day and shared it with me. Delicious! I finally drove there myself the following month. The tripleta is huge! I still need to try their mofongo. I've only tried mofongo once, years ago in Puerto Rico, but didn't enjoy it because I was confused about plantains being a savory dish and wasn't prepared for the taste. We were the only non-Spanish speaker/readers in the place, which was awesome because we were immersed in the culture and not in a tourist trap, but unfortunately I couldn't communicate well about the menu. De Rican chef's mofongo looks amazing, and I saw so many varieties on the menu. It's still on my list to go back. Glad they're still around.

Overpriced with mediocre food. Unfortunately there isn't much competition for them in the AOR in terms of Puerto Rican food. Not a place I would purposely go out to eat at. Can make better food at home and for less. It's one of those places where you don't feel like cooking and there isn't a better option. Like "I'll settle for it" and don't care about the pricing.
