Stumbled upon these hidden gems today and the whole family LOVED them! I thought they were just a different shaped version of a fried cake donut but when I took my first bite it was NOT what I was expecting at all and it was amazing! Took advantage of the weekly special price and got a dozen for like $22 which is only a few bucks more than a dozen of Krispy Kremes that are not as heavy/filling as these are. If you like those chewy sesame balls at chinese buffets or mochi desserts...
I love this store it's a combination of Asian and American the fried chicken is the best, always hot and fresh. Not the place to buy bread however the fresh fruit is in abundance
If you like mochi, you'll like these. The doughnuts are all the same base. What is different is the available toppings. The toppings contain the flavors. This threw me off a bit. When they are fresh, I bet they are good. Even after they are cooled, they are not bad. Just not hitting my taste buds.
