Sam's Hot Dog Stand

Looking for Sam’s and found Frank & Spoons guess it’s a new name. Immediately greeted by a smiling face. The restaurant was meticulously clean from the dining area to the food prep area behind the counter. We ordered the special which was one beef hot dog, drink and fries or chips. Everyone got different toppings. The fries were hot, crisp and fresh. But……those milkshakes are definitely worth coming back for. Creamsicle shake was perfect and obviously hand made. This little restaurant was meticulously clean. I was impressed by how clean everything was. We definitely will be coming back here. Added bonus was that we sat down and ate a great meal that didn’t take any longer than driving through some disgusting fast food place. We will definitely visit again

This is no longer called Sam’s hot dogs it’s frank and something now I use to come often when it was Sam’s and everything was perfect back then, but today the chilli wasn’t spicy and the all the way hot dogs only had chilli on them and the fries were under cooked very raw tasting and floppy I’m hoping this changes to become better but I’m not sure it will be a bit before I go back if I do.

Our family has been looking for a great Chicago Hot Dog place and finally we found Sam’s! Excellent food and welcoming staff.

first time eating here, I could not say enough about the food ,it was awesome, the service outstanding. but what really made my day was watching the staff meet everyone like family, seeing the regulars come in and being treated with such grace. I will be back.

Wonderful, friendly place. Dog friendly for outside sitting, and your dog may get a treat from the owner who loves dogs. The food is great, especially the chili with beans and the chili all beef hot dogs. Thank you for showing such hospitality to my husband and me and our big yellow lab Sampson!

I’ve never ever had a chili hot dog like that before, it was amazing. The best chili hot dog I’ve ever eaten honestly, everyone is so nice and sweet! Now.. I really can’t have any other hot dog from other places, it HAS to be from this place only lol. You won’t regret it!
