The experience here was above what I expected. I’ve seen and heard nothing but awesome things about the establishment, but being there was amazing. From entering to being seated and beyond, no one missed a beat. I would love to thank everyone personally for such a wonderful dining experience that we had, and it should be experienced by everyone, local and visitors.

Amazing dinner from start (hot towel, amuse bouche) to main course (fabulous filet, perfect potato) and everything in between. I did not save room for dessert, but there were a variety of options. Cocktail and wine menu were suberb!

I’ve been to this resturant twice with a 3 year span in between. The first time I went was exactly the same this time tonight! The staff was amazing. Our reservation was accommodated even with hiccups in planning. The our waiter Noah was amazing and attentive. The best fine dining experience I’ve had ever. The food does not disappoint I’ve had duck two ways & lamb both meals were prepared perfectly! Presentation was all star. All staff of the restaurant even signed a custom happy birthday card for my mother. I will continue to support this business

A very fancy place to bring your loved one or date to. They have great streaks and veggie options. Drinks are spot on and the service is great

Mary Beth was fabulous! We’d never been here before and had a great time! Service was quick and fabulous. As someone from NOLA I also have to say the seafood was phenomenal.

Byrd and Baldwin Bros. Steakhouse is one of the finest that I have ever eaten at. The ambiance is wonderful, service is impeccable, and the food superb. The steak was out of this world. The selection of sides and salads ranged from traditional steakhouse baked potato to a corn and crab dish that was both creative and delicious. Has to be the best in Norfolk. The preserved history of the building and safe on the lower floor just added to the experience. Kudos Byrd and Baldwin!

This was by far the best dining experience we've ever had! Food was exquisite and the service was phenomenal! Emmanuel took very good care of us!

Outstanding. Everything was exceptional. From the service to the food to the ambience. I have not 1 complaint at all. Things were better than I expected it to be and I will definitely be going back again.

Difficult to find on street parking. But they do offer valet service. Too dark in there. I had to use my phone light to read the menu. Bathroom was very clean. Good service, everyone was very polite and professional. Delicious cocktails and wine Very enjoyable evening overall.

Wasn't server fault as he was double sat and had an all at once group to handle. Delicious as always. Manager jumped in with a special little treat from the chef in back to fill in time wait. Thoughtful

I wouldn't recommend. My family's experience was absolutely horrible. We made 6:45 reservations and didn't leave the establishment until after 9:25. The service was slow and the quality of food was not good. The oyster Rockefellers were overcooked. And for some reason we're bedded in a plate of salt, Unacceptable. The lobster mac & cheese was dry and lacked flavor. The garlic mash was completely off. Steaks 1: T-bone- 4/10 Steak 2: Ribeye 8/10 Steak 3: filet mignon 6/10 The crab cake; both dry and over cooked. All in all the service was simply unpleasant.

Ok, where to start, as a world traveler from a major city they blew it right from the start. Explained I was in biz travel and Admittedly no jacket but hey norfolk not nyc. They made the mistake of judging and the “we only have a high top in the bar”. Well OpenTable disagrees on a Monday night in Norfolk, give me a break. Big mistake I was in a don’t give a d*** mode and my Amex platinum was good to go. I told them politely that was not going to do it. Seriously small town operation. Went to 456 fish, dropped $250 on a fantastic dinner with a fantastic staff. So avoid,
“the palm” they are not even close! Did I mention, Norfolk, va, please…..

I was told to keep my jacket on because of a dress I had on. We got the food Togo and I was really looking forward to it. I will never be back. Check was over $300

Chairs are classic, old, beautiful chairs... but uncomfortable and seat springs are worn. They look beautiful but could use a refurb.
