Was my first time eating tonight the food was exceptional and Mary Bell was an amazing server and took great care of us. I will come back for the food, but Maribel made the night special as well.
Food was good, service was great, but I learned my lesson not asking the cost of the daily special, which was a bone in filet. This steak is about $85 in most places, so the suprise $170 left me humiliated leaving this spot. It was a great steak but its about $70 overpriced in my opinion. I will never not ask how much off menu items are again. The most expensive prime steak listed on the menu was $85... so double that ??? Nah. Not worth it IMHO. I felt hustled. We shared 6 oysters, shared a salad, got one side of green beans one of cauliflower and shared the steak, then shared a key lime pie. After tip, it was $325... my suggestion... dont order off menu.

Came in for a business dinner on a weeknight and as soon as I came in, I realized that it was good that I made a reservation because they were packed. Just for your awareness, there’s a dresscode here, and rightly so, it’s definitely an upscale restaurant.
We sat at a hi-top in the bar area, which is a nice, cellar-looking area in the lower level of the restaurant. Our server was excellent! She explained that she’s one of the sommeliers there and provided some pretty good feedback on their wine selection. Their menu is fairly typical of upper-end, prime steakhouses. There were many appetizing items to choose from, I had a tough time deciding. I was leaning towards their fried shrimp entrée, especially after seeing other people’s pictures of it on social media. I would never normally get this, but their shrimp pics looked amazing.
I started with their Greek salad – This was a HUGE salad, big enough for an entrée, especially if you add a protein to it. It was fabulous! Lots of fresh veggies in it, the dressing was excellent, and the flavors were so very good! This is definitely worthy of splitting, which I’ll do next time I return. Next up was my entrée and I chose their smaller filet with an add-on of fried shrimp. I really wanted to try this shrimp and this was a way that I could try their beef and the shrimp and this was an absolutely AMAZING entrée selection!!
The shrimp were HUGE! They were perfectly and beautifully battered and fried and looked stunning! The steak was spot-on! I ordered medium rare plus and if I had to guess from looking at it, it was probably 134-135 degrees! The flavor was great too! Their steak is definitely worthy of eating without any add-on or sauce.
For sides we tried their Mashed Potatoes and their Haricot Verts and both were outstanding! The nice thing about this place is they actually list half portions of sides in their menu! Many places offer it, but you have to ask and if it’s just two people dining, half portions are the perfect size.
Save room for dessert, they offer many options! In my case, I was so full, I simply opted for a scoop of their blood orange sorbet and it was the best finish for a great dinner.
Definitely will return and would recommend Byrd & Baldwin Bros for a nice evening and great dinner experience!

Took my husband there his birthday and it was absolutely amazing! The food was flavorful and the service was top notched! Damian was our waiter and he was outstanding. Very attentive, professional, and his service was greatly appreciated.
Customer service was top tier from the moment we stepped foot in front of the establishment. We were greeted by the valet personnel. The staff were extremely professional and our requests were met with top level customer service! The food was phenomenal -perfect temperature and seasoned well. Highly recommend!
Our evening was very nice. Our server who was also the bartender treated us exceptionally well. Really enjoyed the food. Will be back again soon.

This restaurant is very upscale and very expensive. The decor and ambiance are magnificent. In my opinion, best suited for special occasions. Wait Staff are all excellent from our arrival through departure. Food presentation always perfect. We go annually for our wedding anniversary. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing place. We went to celebrate my husbands birthday. They made him a card and all of the employees signed it. A very personal experience. The food was great and the drinks were amazing.
I love a fine dining experience and wanted to share a lovely evening with family celebrating my mother in law's birthday. I don't have complaints about the food. Food prices were typical for this type of restaurant and food quality was good, but not up to par with the hype given by our server. Service was unhelpful and unfriendly. Suggestions on wine were fair but honestly my glass was a bit musty like the bottle had been opened a day or two too long. I chose not to say anything as it wasn't a huge deal and I didn't want to start the evening off on that foot. However as the evening progressed, I did not feel that our server was welcoming or celebratory in her demeanor and did not put forth the extra effort to help my mother in law feel special. In fact, she complained of how busy she was, agreed to take a group photo of our party but then disappeared, and complained about our request to split our bill 50/50 as two parties in our family were sharing the bill as a gift to my mother in law. It took 25 minutes for her to “figure out how to split the bill” and presented in a condescending manner as she told us that “We don't typically split checks but I'm trying to work it out for you.” Ummm....Thanks? This shouldn't be a problem and has not presented an issue, mathematical or otherwise, at any other fine dining restaurant I have ever visited. Also in spite of us requesting tap water we were charged $27 for multiple bottles of still water. The menu offers good variety in types of food choices and in price, but between the hidden cocktail prices and charging for water, this establishment finds a way to up the bill to exorbitant heights nonetheless. I'm happy to pay for a wonderful and unique dining experience, but this was by far NOT that. I have been in years ago with a very different experience altogether. Sadly, this time will mark a truly once in a lifetime experience for us since we won't be returning.
I was frustrated with the service - I expect the waiter/kitchen at this level of restaurant to be able to match the temp of each dining group and my mom and I spent a lot of time waiting for/in between courses. We also waited - with a completely cleared table - for almost 10 minutes for a dessert menu. The food was amazing and our waiter was lovely but the timing was awful and frustrating by the end of the meal.
Upscale service, ambiance and high quality food. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. However, while the food is impressive, the prices are undeniably steep. My wife's risotto was under cooked but the chef made a new one promptly. You're going to pay a premium for the atmosphere, service, and high quality ingredients, but it may not be the most value-for-money option.
