I ordered a cocktail that took long to arrive, and came well after the app I ordered. The food was fine but not award winning as promoted. I asked for a cup of coffee after dinner but they were out of clean coffee cups, so I asked for a mid priced suggestion on glass of bourbon and paid 29$. In the end, I went for live music which was great, and the table service was too, prompt and polite. Beware, tip is included, 18%. I won't run to go back.

Food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful. Music wasn't what was expected. We were hoping for signing and more jazz from online research. The bar area looked wonderful

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the classy ambiance. Our server was very knowledgable of the menu and could identify any allergen issues as needed. We will be celebrating many occasions here in the future!

Our server Destiny was top notch! Gershwin's never disappoints on the ambiance, food or service.

Regretfully it is possible our experience may be due to seeming short staffed. Definitely not what we expected.

Ray provided excellent service and was so funny and kind as well as professional. We ordered the charcuterie board, chicken alfredo, and desserts and everything was as delicious as the next! They have a mocktail menu but be VERY careful ordering and triple check it doesnt have liquor if you’re sober or pregnant.

I'm so glad I did my research on this place first before I came here with my wife; this was an elegant place to visit. I requested some extra TLC because we were celebrating her birthday, and the staff didn't disappoint! From the beginning of service to the end, they wished my wife a Happy Birthday and coordinated with me to bring out her flowers at the right time. The food was delicious - we ordered crab mac & cheese as an appetizer to share, which was a generous amount for two people (the flavors just come together with each bite); my wife ordered the mahi mahi...it was the best I've tasted. I had the short rib, and I didn't even need a knife to cut through it - it was so tender. We were highly impressed with this place, so I know we'll be back eventually!

Price wise:

With the flowers added, an appetizer, two drinks, two entrees, and two desserts (plus 18% gratuity and taxes), you're looking at a range of $175 - $200 (so between almost $90 - $100 per person).

Me? I DON'T CARE about that. I came prepared financially as any adult should. I just want my food to taste delicious and to have a good time at the establishment that I'm at. Both of those boxes were checked off, so...it was worth the money. Definitely recommended.

Went out looking for cocktail bars and Gershwin's served up some well-executed classics, plus a couple twists that their bartender created. All in all very good. Eva made our night!

Gershwin’s is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and class. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, offering outstanding service that’s both personal and professional.

The atmosphere is everything you’d hope for in a piano bar — cozy, elegant, and full of life. The music creates the perfect backdrop for conversation or just soaking in the moment. Every note played feels like it’s meant just for you.

The drinks are simply fabulous — perfectly crafted, balanced, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re sipping on a signature cocktail or a classic old fashioned, you can taste the care and creativity in every glass.

Gershwin’s isn’t just a bar — it’s an experience. Warm, inviting, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect night out.

As a former pianist, I was genuinely excited to celebrate my birthday at Gershwin’s Piano Bar on Sunday September 28th. My loved ones planned this dinner as a surprise, but unfortunately, the evening turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had.

From the start, the tone from staff and management was unwelcoming and defensive, which immediately dampened what should have been a celebratory occasion. When we tried to communicate respectfully about our concerns, the managers became combative and dismissive, rather than showing even basic courtesy or hospitality. We ultimately decided to leave because the treatment was so unacceptable.

What’s even more concerning now is how management is actively publicly responding to honest customer reviews via the internet. Not with accountability or professionalism, but with argumentative, condescending remarks. That alone speaks volumes about the culture and customer service standards here.

Thankfully, my birthday wasn’t completely ruined — we took our celebration to Norfolk Seafood Company instead, where we were greeted with kindness, respect, and true hospitality. It was a night-and-day difference that reminded us of what real service looks like.

I truly hope Gershwin’s leadership reflects how they handle guests and feedback. A place that carries the name of a great composer should understand the art of grace and poise both at the piano and in customer service relations.

Oh and no need to go back and forth with me ... I literally have all day to do so just to prove how combative and nasty your management team can get.

Have a blessed one.

Few bar menu items were listed as being made with egg whites. Ordered a Pisco Sour and it was very obviously made with sour mix. This is a $15 drink that was not made with the properly listed ingredients

We hosted our FY26 CPO Khaki Ball at Gershwins, and it could not have been a more perfect venue! From start to finish, the service was top-notch, the atmosphere was elegant, and the food and drinks were absolutely amazing. Every course and cocktail was crafted with care, and our guests raved about it all night.

A huge shout-out to Marcella, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure every detail was flawless. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly made the night special. And to Brent, who kept everything on track behind the scenes handling the financial side smoothly and stress-free, we are so grateful.

The staff worked seamlessly together and treated us with care and respect, making our final Khaki Ball as active duty a night to remember. Gershwins set the standard for class and excellence, and I cannot recommend them enough for any event, celebration, or special night out.

Thank you, Gershwins team, for helping us create memories we’ll never forget!
