We walk in and immediately get greated with this nonchalant attitude which ya know, whatever. We sit down and get our water and beers. Service is EXTREMELY slow. We then finally order our food after what seemed like longer than it should. Scotch Eggs which were ok. My wife got the cottage pie which looked great and tasted fine. I got the bangers and mash which at first glance, did not look great. 3 anemic looking sausages over unseasoned mash with gravy that was missing the onions with beans on the side. Everything but the sausages were cold which tells me they are probably microwaved. I sent it back and got another 10 minutes later with a new dish that has the missing onions, but the beans were cold again. Flavor wasn't great either, pretty bland. I think the best part of the experience was the Smithwicks beer.

Lights were on full the whole time. No music was playing. Half the tables had dishes from past guest still on them and no one cleaned them even tho they were very well over staffed. Terrible bar, but that just might be all of virginia at this point

Grace O’Malley’s Pub is a no-brainer when you find yourself in Norfolk, offering up classic pub grub in a laid-back atmosphere. While perusing the menu, my envy peaked as my friend’s choice, the tomato soup and cheddar cheese sandwich, arrived looking absolutely fantastic. Despite its simple description, it exceeded expectations in both presentation and taste, according to my friend’s glowing review. Of note and to my disappointment there was no cheeseburger on the menu though.Service at Grace O’Malley’s is swift, ensuring you’ll be digging into your meal in no time. Overall, if you’re in the mood for a casual dining experience with reliably good food, I highly recommend giving Grace O’Malley’s Pub a try.

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Tried the poutine, scotch eggs, fish and chips. Will come back to try more items on the menu. Was loud inside during dinner rush so be cautious with sound sensitive kids.

One of the hosts was having a horrible day. I don't know what was wrong, but she was incredibly rude and off-putting. My GF and I feel that it was something outside if work, and we gave her grace. We really enjoyed this spot. Music was good. Food was good. We probably stayed longer than we should. Date night and we were completely caught up in our own energy, but it was a great date. We will come back!! I like the one in Matthews NC, also.

Lots of Irish atmosphere with terrific beer and whiskey selection. This is truly the place for the perfect pint of Guinness. While there is a great selection of Irish food the fish and chips I had were a bit mushy in the breading, not worth sending back as the fish itself was perfectly cooked and the scotch eggs I had for a starter were fantastic with the well spiced mustard dip. Our server was a bit distracted but it may well be because it was busy. The band, Glasgow Kiss, what can I say other than perfection. They really give the feeling of an Irish cailie gathering!

Food is always amazing. Just seems like over the past few times we have come the place isnt very clean. Bar was dirty this visit. Floors were sticky. Just wasn't up to par from our previous visits. Our server/bartender was pleasant but was very chatty with another bar guest (seemed like a friend) so it took us awhile to get our check when we were ready to go.The host was sitting at a booth/table by the front door with an airpod in and head resting on the table. Not sure if they were asleep or watching phone in lap. It was just unprofessional and off putting.Kitchen staff is on point though. Food was excellent. Front of the house could use some help.
