Our server Fazion was outstanding, graciously personable, and very attentive. I don’t remember the last time, if ever, receiving that much waiter attention.
First time here and Fazion made the experience exceptional! 10 out of 10 would recommend for the food and atmosphere, stay for the customer service!
Love this place, favorite restaurant/bar in Hampton Roads.
Fazon was very attentive and has a great attitude.
10/10 recommend. The food was killa and Fazion was the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit 🔥
Food was awesome, Fazion’s service was better!
Fazion was great!
I ordered the meatloaf and it was disgusting. Absolutely no flavor and a mealy texture. I ate two tiny bites and left the rest. Noone asked how my meal was. We do not plan on returning.
The Grain is a real Gem! The food was good. Faziom our server was friendly overall fantastic.
Nathaniel was great
The prime rib starting only offered rare cuts of meat. Would have liked to have been able to get a medium cut. Myself and a large amount of others went to the omlete station ti get it cooked a little longer. Would like to have maybe mashed potatoes and rice as choices.. I came there last year but it was during breakfast at 9am this time 5pm

Would have appreciated if they could share the buffet venue. I wasn't expecting brunch menu at 4pm. Even for that the food items were okayish not worth 40$ . Area where food was being served wasn't kept clean.
If you're thinking about going to Grain for a buffet event like Mother's Day brunch, don't. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. We paid over $100 for what turned out to be one of the worst buffet experiences we've ever had. Most of the food was either empty or ice cold. The carving station? A joke. The only thing that was warm... was the yogurt. THE YOGURT YOU GUYS. Drinks took forever to come out—how does it take 15+ minutes to make a classic mimosa? Our server was at least very honest about the bar being behind on orders, but what a tough spot to put your staff in. No sense in complaining to them either or asking for a manager or something crazy like that since it looked like they had help to go around. The live music? Way too loud for the space, and the guy's commentary was oddly raunchy for a Mother's Day event. Read the room, man. I'm sure their regular menu might be fine, but if you're not a buffet place, don't try to be one. It was painfully clear they couldn't handle it. Grain really relies on the rooftop view to distract from the fact that the food, service, and overall vibe were seriously lacking. Next time, we'll go somewhere that doesn't try to coast on aesthetics alone.
I've been here before but this time we did not have a great experience. There was barely any food at the buffet the entire time we were there. Drinks were slow and the ambience was terrible.
I love going to the Grain brunch. My reservation helped us go right in and we had a 5 min wait before we went to our table. However, next Mother's Day, I am going on Saturday. It was too crowded and the buffet was empty on one side. I was able to get few things, but it took about 20-25 min before fresh breakfast food came out. Things like dessert didn't get replenished until it was about time to leave. It was just the wrong day to go.
Great food with many choices, reasonably priced, great setting and staff - a superb choice!
