My husband and I were looking for a restaurant the entire night when we decided to stop into The Monastery, immediately the atmosphere, music, and smell of the cuisine made us feel like this was the perfect place to wind down after a long day on main street.

Such a lovely little gem. Everyone says they've been meaning to go for as long as they can remember. It's been on Granby St since the 80s. It's wonderful. Such good food. It's Hungarian food that is delightful. The family that runs it will take care of your every need. It has a really refreshing old school up-scale vibe. It was really wonderful. If you've never had goulash, I would certainly recommend it.

The food was great. We weren’t very hungry so split the tomato salad and the Serbian goulash. I’ve never seen anywhere have so many goulash options. So cool!
The highlight was having a conversation with Anna the owner and chef. She made us feel like family. It is obvious everything is made with love.
