If you are planning to go to see the Christmas lights, know that there was about a 1 hour wait for parking when we went on 12/10/24. Given that we paid $20 a person for a timed entry, there should have been an expedited line for those who paid in advance for a timed entry. We got into the lights just before closing due to poor parking management, so we felt rushed. The price just keeps going up but the bang for your buck goes down. Half of the lights were Halloween and Easter...
We visited during the Holiday light festival this past weekend. It was absolutely fantastic and everyone in the family agreed it was the best light show we've seen. We had tickets for 7-8pm on Saturday night so it was pretty busy but the wait to get in and park wasn't terrible (about 30min) and was well managed. Once parked, there wasn't a wait to get into the garden. The path was well marked and not crowded.
My family and I went for the holiday lights via the golf cart tour. It took about 20-30 minutes to complete and even with the cold it was a fun experience. We brought two children, a six and a four year old and they loved all of it. The Garden team set up a variety of lighting styles throughout the garden. You can also walk to see the lights. If you take the golf cart tour, I recommend dressing warmly and bringing blankets to help with the wind on your legs.
