Here's to Heroes Reviews
Waited for 10 minutes to get seated for a table (there were two empty ones) with no acknowledgment from any of the 3 staff. Clearly we’re busy but some acknowledgment would be great. Wasn’t sure if j was able to go to the bar. I wouldn’t have mind waiting if they were just up front about the wait or whatever. Ended up ordering to-go instead, still no acknowledgment from anyone. I know the one server was busy, perhaps the two bartenders could have helped out a...read full review
Good but is a bit warm (thermostat set to 77)
Considering it is airport food, not too bad. I got the chicken tenders, which were pretty good, and my dad liked his burger. Service probably could've been a bit more pleasant and attentive.

Here's to Heroes is a restaurant with a long bar and plenty of space to relax. The portions are large, and the brewhouse burger is a popular choice. The bar has plugs under it, which is convenient for customers. The restaurant benefits veterans, especially given Norfolk & the Hampton Roads area's strong Naval presence. The staff is generally very nice and accommodating, and the food is quick and good, making it a good spot before flights. However, cleanliness is a concern—glasses can be rimmed with lipstick, flies are seen all over, and mold and buildup are visible around the ice bin. The air vent overhead is dusty, raising questions about overall hygiene. Service experiences can vary; sometimes there's no attendant at the intake podium, and ordering via scan app doesn't offer a military discount, which is 10% instead of the advertised 15%. The quality of guacamole, quesadillas, and fish sandwich is satisfactory, but some reviews criticize the attitude of certain staff members. The restaurant stays open late to accommodate delayed passengers, and bartender Justin provides excellent service. Overall, it remains a popular place for those looking to grab a bite and drinks before a flight, especially since there are no lounges like the American Airlines Admiral’s Club at this airport.
