Diabetic/ sugar disclaimer:I ordered Pho Tai, Nam, Gau from here from Door Dash. Everything tasted great, good portions, and fresh. I ordered extra toppings, but if it was double what a regular order would have been then that would have been plenty.My disclaimer: I have been sugar-free (other than fruits and whole foods) for several years. I can taste sneaky sugars a mile away. I took one sip of the broth and it was soooo delicious but I detected the sweetness right away. To make sure it wasn’t just the richness of the herbs and spices used in the bone broth, I called the restaurant to ask if they add sugar to the broth. Confirmed with them that they do. How much sugar, I do not know, but any added sugar is a no-go for me. Sadly I will have to pass along this delicious pho to someone who is not sensitive to sugar.Dietary restrictions: The Pho broth is delicious, however after tasting sweetness and calling the restaurant to confirm, I found out they add sugar to the beef pho bone broth. I cannot have sugar, so hopefully this saves some time and money for someone else who is not able to have added sugars in their diet.

Then excuses began ... We didnt have that meat, it's not my fault, kitchen didnt tell me ...offer something free. Don't want free stuff. Just tell me you dont have it and not force $9 sandwhich. Knew about it; thinks i am not so smart. Business destine to fail. Dont have time to deal with petty thinking, have to drive home from airport to Richmond.

Both good and bad. We ordered a banh mi S2 and they later gave us a different type. When we looked at the receipt later it said the one we ordered so we confronted them. They said they didn’t have the type of meat we ordered and gave us a different one we didn’t ask for. They didn’t inform us until we told them about the wrong meat. However, the food was still good. Bad service but good food. A little more expensive than other pho restaurants.

Probably one of the worst places to dine in 757. Tough meat, including the shrimp. The dining room feels like you’re eating in a warehouse break room.The staff present were not familiar with the dishes and asking one another. Service is fast. The rice was / is also tough bordering on chewy with a crispy bottom.Staff want to play guess where your from if you have an accent but not picking up on why your peaved for being served subpar food, devoid of flavor.Poor etiquette on the part of whoever is managing this place or editing the menus. Cold Vermicelli = salad, hot vermicelli = bowl. Was like that when I lived in Hoochimin Probably wouldn’t have as many poor reviews if customers were making an informed choice as being served ice water blanched vermicelli with boiling hot tough meat on the top is not the way to get 5 stars it’s a sure fire way of turning customers off for good.Wasted good money on lackluster service and even left feeling insulted as guessing where someone’s from because of the way they sound is just as bad as guessing where someone’s from because of how they look. Stereotyping / profiling deffo not the way to go for 5 stars, sure fire way of really upsetting someone.

Arrived 30mins before closing and was told we cant eat in because they need time to clean dinning room. The restaurant needs to post separate dinning hours if this is the case. Typically restaurants post the last time they will seat guests. If i had been there at 8, and was not finished eating they would not have made me leave to clean….. i will make the drive across Norfolk and go to the 21st location!
It's a solid place for pho. They took it easy on the cilantro which made my husband happy. The bed broth was delicious, the portions were large, and all the ingredients were fresh.Our server's English is a work in progress, but to be fair, he came back to double check what we had ordered and got it right. The Boba came as a smoothie (we like it that way) even though we had asked and he said it was over ice (it would have still been good). The cjm wing appetizer had a very good chili sauce dip.
This Pho 79 was less than par with other locations. Relatively fast service but chicken bone broth was weak and lukewarm. Limited wait staff. Building in my opinion is too open and does not have cozy atmosphere. Perhaps the concept is more contemporary.

Had a summer roll that they labeled as a spring roll. I asked for it to be without pork. It was fine. The sauce was disappointing. And a vegetarian Bahn Mi sandwich. It was pretty bad. The place looked a bit run down. The service was pretty disorganized.

DO NOT COME HERE.I don’t like writing bad reviews, but this is the worst pho place I have ever been to. The server seemed like he didn’t care at all or want to be there. My pho wasn’t hot. I got my spring roll at the end when it was supposed to be an appetizer. This place is also pretty pricey. I will never come back here.

The door says they open at 10. Online says they open at 10. Got there at 10:05.. not open. Normally I wouldn't care because I understand that things happen however one of the staff looked me in my eyes while I was at the door and went in the back without offering an explanation or a time when they would be opening. Left at 10:20 and they still hadn't opened.
