This place is amazing! I recently moved to this area and it’s the best poke bowl I’ve had! The ingredients were very fresh and they had lots of options! The staff was also very kind. Great place and will return!

What up world!? Alright so I honestly like the flavor. Just a couple growing pains and recommendations. This would be a solid 4 maybe 4.5 food star if it wasn't for these. 1. Go back to the actual bowl containers, half of the experience is presentation and with the black containers having no depth it'll literally just look like someone took shit in the pan. This also makes it impossible to mix so wtf. 2. Don't pre cut/mash the avocados. Like previous comments they turn brown and believe it or not regardless if it tastes the same, the way the food looks will easily deter customers from spending the extra $$ for that avocado. Keep them intact till someone orders them then slice that bish open. 3. Maybe ask how much sauce topper we want before your workers decide to drench my shit in Mayo. - no offense to the person who did this to mine, they just doing what they told. 4.Portioning, what may be helpful rather then doing the scoop method is too weigh it out. It's fast believe me. This would also ease the customer when you're able to put a value on it. This way we're not bitching about how it looks small and its consistent.

Extremely disappointed with my poke bowl here. The serving of fish is so small and I don’t even know if they added the spicy tuna to my bowl bc the cubes are so tiny. Not worth the $19 I paid for this and not worth the drive either.

Just like another recent review, we normally go to the Chesapeake location but decided to go to the Norfolk location today. Upon entering it smells fishy which isn't a good sign. Fresh fish should not have a strong fishy odor. The little girl helping us did not smile nor made our experience here welcoming. Very Monotone, had an earbud in, and her demeanor was as if she didn't want to be there. She basically threw our bowls together and didn't bother properly mixing anything. Even asked my little sister to repeat what she said because she couldn't hear her although she was speaking loud and clear for the rest of us to hear. Sam was the name on our receipt. We dined in to observe the rest of the service. There was another girl working, who came out and had amazing customer service to the rest of the customers that came in after us. Food was okay. Not the best. We probably won't return and just stick to the Chesapeake location.

We typically go to the Poketastic in Chesapeake, which is a family favorite. The service is outstanding and they make the bowls just the way you like them. We were over here tonight and thought we'd have a similar experience, but I'm sadly disappointed in the overall experience. Upon entering the building, it was fishy smelling, which anyone who eats raw fish knows, isn't the norm. I was greeted by a girl with a very lackluster demeanor. I couldn't hear her speaking at all, she refused even a hint of a smile and didn't even respond when I asked her how she was. While my bowl was okay, she messed up the sauces and didn't mix my fish choices the same way as the other location. Her lack of enthusiasm poisoned my entire experience here and I can safely say, I won't return. I'll stick with my location in Chesapeake. Food: 7 Service: -5 Ambiance: 2

Food tasted ok, but they dice the fish so small its a little ridiculous. Furthermore, the scoop they use is small as well, so you aren't getting as much protein as other poke restaurants in this same area. Lesson learned. I'll plan my trip better next time, so that when I want poke, I'll go somewhere else where I actually get a good amount of protein for $16.

I have been to Poketastic twice. It's a small place. I'm from Hawaii, and overwhelmed with different kinds of poke - Tuna (Ahi), Salmon, Hamachi, Tako (Octopus), scallops and other fish you can think of. The only thing I didn't like in Poketastic is the cut of their fish. It's too small and they use a very small scoop. I feel like I'm eating more rice rather than the poke fish. I'm not going to recommend this place to my friends and family.

This is not the first time this happens to me so I decided to write a review. I ordered online and after I picked up and got to my destination, I realized that half my toppings were missing. I drove back (which made me waste about 30 mins) and they were apologetic and added the missing toppings. The avocado (which you pay extra, and A LOT for a scoop) was old / black. How can you serve old / black avocado? Specially when the client is paying $1.5 per a small scoop? To top it off, literally, the covered my bowl with regular mayo, not Japanese Mayo. I can't eat it. This is so disrespectful and disappointing ? DISGUSTING

Employee was not happy to be there or help us. Felt like we were bothering him. The other employee would not come out to help us. This was told to us by the other employee. Food was ok. Menus board was not working. Save yourself from being dissatisfied and go to domoishi.
