Food is good but a bit too salty. Service and atmosphere were perfect. The weight staff are very attentive to your needs and very helpful.
The restaurant was clean and organized, but service was terrible. Despite having a reservation, we waited 30 minutes before anyone took our order. One of our group disclosed a shellfish allergy, but the restaurant refused to accommodate, leaving them unable to eat. After 45 minutes with no grill prep, we decided to leave. The manager claimed our orders were already being prepared, but there was only one cook for four tables, and another table, arriving after us, was served first. While the food and hibachi show were good, the poor service means I won’t return or recommend this place.
We had a massive party of eleven people for dinner. During the course of dinner, one of the members of our party mentioned that she is allergic to shellfish and requested to have her dish cooked separate. They absolutely refused to make it separate from the other dishes being cooked.
I arrived 12 minutes after opening today. 2/21/25. The open sign was on but the doors were locked. I called the restaurant to ask them their hours and explained the door was locked. Waited 11 more minutes and said forget it. We have gone to this restaurant since at least 2006 and its consistently gone downhill. Never again.
Excellent
We love coming to sai gai.
Great place, great food and service. Food was delicious and made in front of us. Thank for great service for my daughters bday!
The food was amazing
probably won't go back
This was my first time going. The chef was great. The service was great. The interior could use some help in modernizing and updating.

I hope the dine-in experience is a lot better than the take out food because I would have been better off buying boxed Rice-A-Roni and frozen shrimp somewhere else. Aside from the filet mignon not having any flavor, veggies as stale as cardboard, the Yum-Yum sauce might as well have been mayonnaise!
We ate with Hibachi dish and the food was fresh and awesome. The cook was very nice as well.
My mother and I went here for dinner on a Sunday night. It was pretty dead which made us nervous. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The sushi chef was not there so we werent able to get sushi but it was late on a Sunday. The staff was polite and parking was good. I would go back.

This is the fabulous sister restaurant to that hot Japanese steakhouse Sapporo! in the spacious and fast growing city of Suffolk, Va!!!!! Right here in Norfolk, Va!!! Can't rant and rave enough about the food, service or atmosphere!! If it got any better, you would be in heaven! Too late! Take a bite of teriyaki salmon, hibachi chicken, you'll be back!! Thanks to the owner, staff, hibachi chef, Sue and her family for the time and dedication that they put in every day!! A perfect example of what hardworking people try to bring to the table!!! ? keep up the great work and great food!! Will see you again!
