While the food and the ambience were good to very good, the service during our most recent visit was less than outstanding. To begin with, our server dropped an entire glass of water on our table, most of which wound up on my clothes. i didn't want to make a scene but I told her very quietly that I was very wet. She brought me a small towel but did not seem to concerned about things after she had mopped up the table. She did not tell us about any specials, which I later heard...
This is an incredible place to visit, and I truly love the ambiance. I appreciate how I didn't have to wait long for a seat. Our server was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. The seafood was fresh and prepared to order; the oysters were particularly outstanding. I also love that everything is locally sourced and always fresh. I will definitely return—five stars all the way. The only improvement I'd suggest is adding a ride to move menu items.
We had a wonderful experience at Saltines. Ana, our server was fantastic with her recommendations and the food was absolutely fresh and delicious. The fresh catch of the day was on point and so were the scallops.
