My husband and I live 2 hours from this amazing hidden gem. On our first baby free vacation we treated ourselves to their amazing calamari and scallops. My husband said he would make the drive everyday just for their calamari. Beautiful and friendly vibes. We will be back for sure!!!!
The place reminded me of a restaurant you'd find on Virginia Dare Trail in the Outer Banks. My crab cakes came with a baked potato, which I haven't seen in decades. If I was in Willoughby again I'd go back.
We had a fabulous experience at Swell while we were on vacation! Our son has a gluten sensitivity and the chef came out to explain that he couldn't promise no contamination if his sensitivities were severe, but explained how he prepares a multitude of dishes with GF ingredients and could prepare several fried items on the grill to keep them from any fryer cross-contamination. This was such a great experience and the food was amazing! Seriously, the best meal we had on a vacation...
