Rooftop atmosphere was great. Thought we found a new hand out spot. Beers pour with a lot of foam and are pricey. Ordered a Bavarian pretzel and it was deep fried. Not what I would expect from a pretzel. Some people may like it but it would be helpful for the menu to state it was deep fried.

Went there for a late dinner last Saturday during my family’s visit to Va Beach and loved it. The owner was very friendly and showed us how the self-pour worked and how to order food. The beer selection was plentiful and it was nice that there were wine choices (including sangria) for the non-beer drinkers in our party.
My BYO Burger, my wife’s chicken sandwich, my son’s Smokehouse Burger and Buffalo Chicken Dip were great!
The atmosphere was chill and being on the roof was perfect with the great weather of Labor Day weekend.

Raina has the the uncanny ability to graciously host the most amazing events! The Boozy Book Fair was extraordinary! The vibe, the people, all of it was so magical! Raina made sure guests were welcomed warmly, and the vendors had everything they needed. She made everyone feel right at home which is sure tough, but she made it seem natural.
I can't wait for the next event!!! Thank you Raina and Wayne for an unforgettable experience ❤️

What an absolute power couple! Consummate professionals! Kind, generous, patient, & passionate. Tidewater is fortunate to have this duo. They very obviously put themselves in services to others & the community at large (Transient or otherwise). To experience their commitment to the craft one need only sample any of their victuals (but 1st parking, plenty on street or adjacent lots, if you're observant...). The same love they pour into the community translates verbatim through & in their provisions. They've cultivated a team of people who at once make you feel welcome & at home in a safe inclusive environment. Most notable though is how their food immediately stands out with its cosmopolitan fusion. Our only regret is we don't have more time to frequent this charming addition to the Nahfuk culinary scene. Bravo Raina & Wayne for modeling charm, grace, & decorum by embodying the very best of your profession.

Ghent Rooftop is practically a home away from home!! I was introduced to place a year. Met the owner Raina and she immediately welcomed me with open arms. Her dedication to this place and love she pours into it doesn’t go unnoticed. Everyone on her staff also exudes that same spirit. The Ghent rooftop is a special place. The ultimate third space!!

The Ghent is my all time favorite spot in Norfolk; for a night out, gathering with friends, a good meal, events, everything. Raina and Wayne are the absolve best, and truly make The Ghent so amazing and fun. All of the staff are incredible and so kind as well. I freaking LOVE the menu and the food is AMAZING, I will rave about that for eternity!!! We are so lucky to have a place like this in our community.

Raina and Wayne are the kindest, coolest, most creative and doting restauranteurs that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I've been to The Ghent Rooftop Bar several times, both as a vendor at their incredible Boozy Book Fair and as a customer, and I've been so impressed by the vibes, the food, the beverages, and the amazing Beerista team. This place is awesome! 🥰✨🫶🏻🎉🍻

Love the vibe here. I've been many times as both a patron and hosting an event. The truffle tries are AMAZING, and Raina is so easy to work with. I love that she really supports local businesses and wants to see people succeed. We love working with her!

The Ghent Rooftop is truly one of my favorite places, and Raina and Wayne are a big part of why. Every time I’ve been here, I’ve been welcomed with genuine kindness and warmth. Their staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes sure everyone feels taken care of—whether it’s making sure guests are fed, hydrated, or just having a great time.
The food is consistently good (even when I DoorDash it!), and they always have a great variety. Plus, the self-pour tap wall is such a cool feature—you can always find something new to try.
Raina in particular goes above and beyond. She’s thoughtful, professional, and pours so much effort into every event. You can tell how much heart she puts into making things run smoothly and ensuring people feel comfortable. Wayne and Raina make an incredible team, and it really shows in the atmosphere they’ve built at The Ghent Rooftop.
If you’re looking for a space that’s not just beautiful but run by people who truly care, this is it. I can’t recommend them enough!

I have been to The Ghent multiple times and love it! My 10 year old asked to go here on Saturday (“Can we go to the place with the really good pizza and pretzel?”) Both their food and drink GF options are great which can be hard to find! Also, they have great events! Just went to the Boozy Book Fair and it was so much fun and organized (thanks Raina!). Ton’s of parking in the back, great servers and great atmosphere! One of our favorite spots for sure!

They have a really great selection of not only beers, but ciders and wines as well. Nice, laid back feel. Parking is easy right across the street and the staff are friendly/helpful. The food is pretty good too! We got a little bit of everything celebrating our friend - good variety. They also have board games and things to play while you're hanging out with friends.

Attempted to host a cocktail party here for 50 people. Josie gave me an awesome tour and was great. When it was time to talk business with Raina my experience went super down hill. She asked my budget then proceeded to more than double it and never even gave me a catering menu or discussed with me what type of food I wanted. To this day I still have not seen a catering menu as promised. Might be a great spot to have a drink at with a couple of friends. But if you’re military trying to host a hail and bail or any type of event… just stick with New Realm Brewing in Virginia Beach, VA. There is a reason they are tried, tested, and still holding strong for us.
Update: Did my best to communicate with the venue while out to sea. But from May - August 19 I have still yet to receive a menu with pricing options.

Small roof top bar with great choices for drinks,
They have a seasonally rotating tap with a solid selection
The food was good it's ordered through a QR code at your table it had pretty quick turn around it was sorta expensive, I had the buffaloe chicken pizza with no bleu cheese and cauliflower crust the pizza was good the chicken did taste like it was pre prepared and or possibly frozen the flavor of the base and the sauces were good though, mozzarella logs had an option to be tossed in a sauce I went with Korean BBQ which turned out amazing the marinara wasn't needed.
Also tried the hell peno burger had a good flavor with the pepper jam and pepper jack and the waffle fries tasted fresh and not too oily.
The taps I tried and recommend was the boozy soda's the cream soda and the grape and the Kirin for beer and for IPA two hearted ale is my absolute favourite IPA the taps do give you a bit of foam that you have to wait to settle but beyond that was a good experience
The atmosphere could use some updates lights weren't strung out in all sides and the couches seem like a hot commodity but unfortunately they were taken up by parties of single people, the picnic tables were comfortable though.
They do have a shared parking lot with the other businesses we parked across the street and walked over pretty easily.
