So you think you know sandwiches? Not like they know them at The Grilled Cheese Bistro in Norfolk! Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! The mother/daughter owner duo (Dina and Chloe) curates something for every palate with specials each day! The kitchen staff (Darius, Haden, Naya) cranks out the best sandwiches you NEVER had in about 10 mins and Evisa has you covered with anything you need at the bar. The wait staff (Daniel and Bianca) makes sure your food is served hot and you’re taken care of. This place has it all.

The food was better than I thought it was going to be. The service was good. Cool atmosphere. No wait. The prices are a little expensive but still reasonable. Overall I’d go back and I was full for the rest of the day.

Absolutely love this place. The vibe is immaculate. The food is great. I highly recommend the smoked sea salt fries (I order these for the table every time I introduce someone new to the place). They do have odd hours, and it's almost always busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating, although it's a small venue inside, so I try to sit outside when I can. The staff is super friendly and attentive.

The food quality and flavor were exceptional! The combinations, though unusual, were thoughtful and complemented each other. Although there was a wait while the made to order sandwiches were prepared, the Server made sure we knew we weren't forgotten. The service was actually better than I have experienced in some very expensive restaurants. The food was very satisfying!

I have one complaint but it is minor and unavoidable under the circumstances. Table sharing with strangers isn't my favorite but the space is limited. Sometimes you have to make the best of what you have and just enjoy.

This was an enjoyable meal.

Took about 40 minutes to get our order at peak lunch time, but it was worth the wait. Just wicked good and hit the spot!

We tried to go here for my birthday right before 3pm and they decided to close an hour early unexpectedly. We were met at the door by staff and told they’re closed because it’s “too slow” and it’s “common to close early if it’s slow”. Super disappointed and drove from Hampton to experience this.

We came here for a Saturday lunch on a spur of a moment. The weather was gorgeous and we found seats outside on their patio. Wait staff was very pleasant and we followed her recommendation and ordered parmesan chimichurri fries, jalapeño poppers and then two entrees. Everything then came out in carry-out plastic containers including the drinks. For a sit down lunch this felt a little weird and certainly doesn't spell sustainability. The food was just ok. Nothing tasted bad, nothing screamed "amazing", but everything was just very greasy and our cholesterol will likely be sky high for the rest of the weekend. Total for two just drinking water was close to $80 before tips, which seems still ok considering the location.

We had an amazing experience! The food was great! We loved it. We will definitely be back to try different sandwiches.

A must visit in Norfolk! Delicious food, clean establishment, and the friendliest staff. Always something new to try. But whatever you do… you must try the parmesan chimichurri fries!
