I had the Bowl of Soup (Country) and half a sandwich (Ham and Cucumber) with coffee. The ham and cucumber was delightful. The waitress recommended it. The soup - Country - has navy beans, collared greens and ham. I would get both again. I chose the pasta option for the combo. It was a interesting mix, but has good taste.

Best hidden secret in Norfolk. Discovered by coincidence, now we are there every Thursday for their famous chicken and dumplings and cheesy cheese sandwiches. Brian and Jen run the cafe, and they are an outstanding team. Brian is a one man show in the kitchen, and Jen takes care of the service. What a wonderful little restaurant! My boyfriend and I quickly became regulars after he started working in the building. We’re there at least a few times every week now, and enjoy it every time!
Love this quiet but excellent spot downtown. I come to sneak off for lunch. I often bring employees of mine for lunch. They all love the place. The soup is the best, and the sandwiches are amazing. The server is the absolute best, and, did I mention the soup? Gotta come here!
My friend sat down while I was browsing the books next door. He was there three minutes total and he was asked probably five times by the owner if he was getting coffee and food. My friend told him I was getting us coffee and food after I found a book but it wasn’t quick enough for him. Maybe he had to go to the bathroom really bad and was on chair watch duty? Weird vibe for sure. Also smells like sewage inside. Don’t recommend this or the bookstore. The pastries looked days old and the book selection was that of an airport lounge.
I’ve never been to such a rude place in my life. Do not recommend terrible experience.

Wonderful cafe by Town pointe park! Just across the street inside a lil bookstore! Good prices, fast service and great atmosphere! The Tuscan chicken was delicious! My babe had the chicken salad and turkey BLT half sandwiches, also delicious! Definitely make time to try this place out!

Busy little cafe in the centre of Norfolk downtown. I'd been there years before but stopped by today for lunch for the hummus wrap. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the food was really tasty. I visited from overseas but the place was full of regulars which is always a good sign.
It has a small independent bookshop next door. So make sure you put your money into local businesses like these and enjoy the visit. A definite place to return to next time I'm in the area.

I would never recommend this place. We went in as Taurus looking for a book to chill out and drink some coffee. My friend was next-door getting a book I said one of the café seeds and I was asked three times within five minutes if I was going to order I said I’m just waiting on my friend to purchase a book then we’re gonna order and he said well. These seats are for custom customers only. What a terrible terrible place and experience. I would never recommend that sad for Norfolk Virginia to have such a business its city.
