Yendidi Norfolk is a restaurant known for its delicious and flavorful food, taking time to prepare but worth the wait. Popular dishes include the vegan Jollof rice burrito, mackerel, egusi stew, and oxtails. The grilled chicken is described as "super seasoned and delicious" with a generous portion. The pineapple ginger drink is a favorite, and stews and soups are also highly regarded. Many customers praise the authentic African cuisine, noting that everything ordered is amazing. Dishes like grilled chicken with yellow rice, egusi soup with chicken and fufu, and cabbage are highly recommended. The food is made fresh to order, and customers often enjoy the flavorful stews and the pineapple ginger drink, which can be a bit sweet but easily diluted. The Jollof rice and fried plantain (dodo) are especially popular, with some mentioning that the chips are well spiced and not typical French fries. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere but is now moving to a takeout-only model, with limited inside seating, so customers should be prepared to order to go. Many visitors praised the food, with some ordering via Uber Eats and praising the flavors, especially egusi soup with plantain fufu and Jollof rice. Others enjoyed the large portions, well-balanced spice in the egusi soup, and favorites like collard greens and sweet plantains. Customers have expressed their satisfaction with the friendly service, mentioning staff members who are kind and welcoming. The overall experience includes great food, friendly staff, and a cozy environment, making it perfect for takeout or quick dining. Many plan to return to try more dishes and enjoy the authentic African flavors.
