“The food is amazing. I tried their chicken first and was not disappointed. Moist and flavorful and excellently seasoned. Also tried their nachos with their beef and was equally impressed. Get the yucca fries and dip in their various salsas. All their food was 100% top notch.“

“My cheeseburger didn't have much taste, and the bun was so greasy. Chips are not what I remember, very thin. And not much taste. Salsa is boring. Fries were good. Mom's chicken avocado salad was good, but way too much rice, she said.
Service with Ashley was good.
It looked like someone had been dying their hair in the bathroom sink. Nasty.
Besides that, the restaurant was clean and orderly.“

“Delicious food. I don't live in Richmond, but I always get takeout when we go to the city. Last time I went We ate there. Everything is good, but I love the sausage and the cornbread the most. But also I like the mac and cheese and the sandwiches. Please stop by. Your stomach will thank you ?“

“First time we are in town we came to barrio taqueria & tequila and the place is really nice, to start with the food is amazing we had birria nachos to die for and a bread pudding to finish that was out of this world and the service is outstanding, I’d definitely come back to this place when I’m back in town. Thank you very much. Barrio taqueria & tequila.“

“This is new ownership and a new beginning. I wished they brought in new furniture instead of using the old stuff. The ice machine and the coke machine are still having issues like before. I will give them a second chance but they need to really focus on the atmosphere and keeping everything working so you can truly enjoy your meal. It’s going to take some time for the new staff to learn how to roll a Burrito so be patient with everyone. The food was good but we had a bunch of stale chips in our bag, they will improve on this as well. I will update once I go back again in a couple of weeks. Good luck new owners“

“While I wouldn't call these authentic Mexican tacos, wow they are good regardless. The tacos fillings can be pretty hipster (i.e. black bean w/ sweet potato, tofu al pastor), but they got the classic Americana chicken, steak stuff too. The orange salsa is where it's at. Mighty good. Ask them to double up your tortilla, as it should be done. I try to visit monthly. It's good for your health“
