Had a wonderful meal today with friends at Cock & Bowl Belgian Bistro Historic Occoquan, VA. Food was AMAZING and the owner was too, very friendly and took the time to sit and chat with us...great guy!!! Wasn't expecting the food to be all that great, but was pleasantly surprised. It was FANTASTIC!!! We had the Brie & Fig Delight for our starter, then 2 Croque Madames and a Belgian Waffle...sooo delish!!! Will definitely be back again to try their other dishes. Highly recommend!!!

This place is certainly not a European bistro. The menu is extremely limited. No crepes. No French toast. I had a Belgian waffle. Nothing spectacular. I can get a comparable one in Silver Diner. This place is mediocre at best. I have eaten at Bistros in both France and Italy. When you call yourself a European bistro it invokes certain memories. You won't get that. I just finished my waffle. This place is definitely a pass.

We got some food at this restaurant and it was wonderful, everything was cooked perfectly. I really liked the appetizers we got, and the main dishes were even better.Kid-friendliness: Waiters were all very nice and polite.

Very good food, we got some of the steaks and they were cooked perfectly. The waffles are a great dessert as well. The service was great, and the accommodated allergies.

Dinner started out strong. The French onion soup is good and paired well with a Belgian ale. The Brew Ha Ha mussels were great, but I wish they served better bread. The steak frites was the most disappointing. The cut is thin and was overcooked in the middle, and yet somehow the chef developed almost no browning/crust on the exterior. The server took it back to the kitchen but the replacement was also overcooked. At that point in the night we just wanted to eat and go. The second steak also had no seasoning on it, so I went to add some salt, but the cap on the salt shaker was unscrewed and dumped a pyramid of salt on my plate. The server was gracious and gave us a discount, but this restaurant is a one-and-done for us. There are much better places to get Belgian food around here.

Food? It's great. I have been there around 6-7 times and I have not been disappointed. The beer menu is extensive and does not let you down either. Management? Annoying and rude. They are trying to kick you out the door before you can say Yelp review. I get trying to turn over tables, but this place is ridiculous. Go for the food and beer, but be forewarned.

I have only had the opportunity to try 1 thing so far but based on that 1 thing I literally cannot wait to come back and try all the things! I got the Asperges aux Prosciutto and man! It was SO good! Please give this hidden gem a try! Ceci is great and will take great care of you! I wish I had known about this place years ago! Definitely now one of my go to spots!

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is delicious. Our favorites are the French onion soup, strawberry waffles and steak with fries, although everything we’ve tried here has been great. We have always had the best service here, Caitlyn is always so welcoming at the host stand and the owner Albert is so lovely to talk to. He makes you feel like family which is always nice. We enjoy coming in and escaping the rush of life to a nice, quiet, peaceful dinner. We always look forward to coming back.

Where to begin? I've been here before and it was good. It was not today. We ordered muscles and they were dry. Literally a quarter inch of broth in the bottom of the crock. Zero flavor and dry muscles. Asked for more broth and ended up leaving as it took forever to get. Also, order a croque madam and it was less than mediocre. After waiting a while for the broth, we went down to pay the tab, as I just didn't want to waste more time. We overheard the cook complaining that we asked for additional broth. There was a fairly hefty price tag for a meal that stayed in the table. Not very happy with this experience. The only reason for the second star is that the waitress was very nice and even stated that people may complain about the lack of broth with the muscles. BTW- muscles are about 70 percent of available items to order on the menu.

today I went with my daughter to this restaurant and thought since I am European it would bring a little home for me .I ordered the mussels and french-fries, what a disappointment. The mussels were very small with an overflow of Garlic , it was inedible . I am an experienced cook of 46 years that have traveled the world so I know what I am talking about . The French fries where over salted and limb , so much for twice fried potatoes , I could have gone to Mc Donalds and have better fries . My daughter had a sandwich and soup , I had a glass of sparkling wine and she had a mulled wine . The water that came with the meal was right out of the tab and tasted really bad of chlorine . The bill was with tip 75$ , this is for lunch ? Never again !!

Went here on a whim and have no regrets. Food was amazing. Beer selection is amazing. Only small complaint I'd have would be the very limited seating.
