Friday night in May and the hotel bar is closed, restaurant closed. We had tried to make a reservation for dinner online five days before but got no answer. The gals at the front desk Friday afternoon had no idea if the restaurant bar or dining would be open. Oh well. Looks like the Charlotte is owned by a different group that is foregoing the bar and restaurant. The rooms at this hotel are still nice though.
An absolute gem—The Charlotte Hotel exceeded our expectations! From the moment we booked to the day we left, the service was outstanding. The hotel has a charming, nostalgic feel, like stepping back in time, with beautiful décor throughout. It was spotlessly clean, incredibly welcoming, and very comfortable, with a cozy bed and a great hot shower. The area also felt very safe, which made our stay even more relaxing. We loved everything about it and can’t wait to return!
