I stopped by a few weeks ago and forgot to write my review and forgot half my order. What I do remember is that I loved the food. They have great hush puppies. A lot of BBQ places don’t have them and if they do a lot of times they are too dry. These were perfect. Great service too and they have outdoor seating which is great. I’ll definitely be going back.

This is my first time here as I was passing through on thanksgiving weekend. When I was looking up restaurants near by to eat “Bluegrass BBQ” was top on my suggestions. I’m truly glad I got the opportunity to eat here! This place is phenomenal everything was up to par! For an appetizer we ordered the fried pickles and for being a smaller size the golden brown sauce was delicious. I ordered the combination B on the menu and I received the catfish which was extra crispy and the ribs. The ribs were just right and I mixed 2 of their sauces when I ate my ribs. With that combination I got 3 sides and I got the mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, and the pepper slaw. The pepper slaw I didn’t not care for. However, the sweet potato casserole was great. The Mac and cheese was great nothing out of this world, but good. I did take a bite of my family members fried pork chop and man I wish I ordered that! Also, my family member ordered the smoked chicken and he loved it. I would definitely come back here if I was ever in the area.

The food here is absolutely incredible! We’ve been coming here for ages and have never had a bad meal or service. They’ve even catered a few events for us, like a retirement party and a company picnic, and everyone raved about the food and service. I highly recommend this place!

I usually have a great experience at this restaurant but tonight I had to leave most of the smoked chicken on the plate. This is my favorite meat next to the ribs. So I was disappointed. It was so dry I couldn’t choke it down let alone take it home for leftovers. So I learned that next time I’ll ask if I could get more recent cooked chicken. I wasn’t offered fresher chicken to replace this, or this review would have been 5 stars for the quality and taste. Everything else was great!

Drove 20 miles and Waited 35 mins for one beef poppy sandwich take out order . Finally got it and it didn’t even have a top bun. Was my first time trying this place . I had heard such great things I was willing to make the trip. My experience didn’t match what I had heard. I won’t be coming back due to lack of quality service . The food tasted fine and I would have rated 5 stars if they would have just paid attention and got my order right . Or atleast offered to give me the top bun .

No matter how far out of your way you need to go to get here... GET HERE!!! Real barbecue in an authentic, traditional BBQ restaurant. Brisket is perfectly juicy. Ribs get a simple dry rub and smoked to perfection. The pulled pork is tender but not overcooked. BBQ is an art, and the good people at Bluegrass BBQ are BBQ artists.
Yes, you can get sauces and sides... but why in the world would you let anything like that get in the way of delicious REAL food??!
If you don't know great BBQ, listen up: this is NOT "fast food." This is a little operation, tended with love. Order ahead or plan on getting comfortable and neighborly while you spend 30 minutes or so letting the kitchen perform their magic.
Needless to say, this is keto friendly, carnivore friendly, Paleo friendly. If you are taking advantage of low carb to get your health back, Bluegrass BBQ is the perfect prescription! ♥️
