The Golden Skillet is golden when it comes to fried chicken. They have the best fried chicken I've ever had! The meat is moist and juicy, covered with a thin, crispy layer, which doesn’t leave a greasy feeling in your mouth like some other fried chicken places do. Plan to carryout, as the lobby is small and not set up for dining in. The staff was friendly and professional, making the experience even better.
This is my spot right here I’ve been knowing the owner DM since I was a small boy, I love this place that man is a member of the community. He fed me when I didn’t have anything to eat. i’m always gonna show love to this place.
Had the Big Skillet Sandwich and it was good as usual. Had a little bit more crispy stuff on the ends before you got to the meat but otherwise good. Was tempted to order a few other things after looking at the menu but kept it to just the sandwich. The fish and the gizzards are my favorites. Def a good location to pick up a quick fix. The counter lady is always nice too.
